Excellent dinner – Creative dishes with outstanding flavors and top-notch service made for a memorable experience. However, the acoustics in the room created a high level of noise, making conversation challenging. Improved sound dampening would greatly enhance the overall ambiance.

when it comes down to it, trestle is my favorite restaurant in Santa Cruz. sure some nights service could be a little off. food might be a little off but if you want perfection go to that

laundromat in Napa.

for the atmosphere. the general friendliness and quite frankly the amazing food it is. in my opinion the best there are many that are close but the whole scene is my idea of ideal .

My wife and I treat it like a tapas bar. we split appetizers, split salads occasionally split entrees

I usually don’t write positive reviews (keep em to myself), but this place surely deserves it. The atmosphere, service and, most importantly, food were very good. Fish and chicken were cooked to perfection; in fact it’s the first place where the fish were not dry. The sauces emphasized every dish, and you can definitely tell that they did cook everything themselves and did not use prefabs (at least it feels that way). My favorite was pork belly and seviche - this one was the star! Definitely will be coming back, and I hope our second time will be as good as the first.

Me and my wife were visiting from Reno and seen this rated pretty high so we stopped by and let me tell you this is probably the best meal I’ve had and I’ve been to some nice places, we talk about it probably once a week since we went last month. Got hot flashes thinking about my meal. Wish we had something like that place here.

Had the best anniversary dinner and time at Trestles. As out of staters, locals kept telling us we need to go here that we would love it! They didn’t steer us wrong! Wow!! The service and the food was 10/10!! We even got complimentary champagne! The sashimi to die for! The blue fin was amazing! Oysters on the half were some of the best I’ve had. We also got the chimicurri steak ridiculous. We didn’t leave a bite behind. Atmosphere is very cozy intimate low lighting and has a great vibe!

Beware, sketchy fee practices. In small print on the menu they note they add a 3% fee to everything to cover increased costs. Since they reprinted menus to add that anyway, they could’ve just increased the actual prices! Instead they do a bait and switch on the consumer. Yuck. Won’t be returning for that reason.

Do not go here if you are looking for a quiet, romantic dinner. It’s noisy and cramped, the menu is tiny - six entrees - , and it is very overpriced. The food is just ok, nothing spectacular.

It was fine. I wanted more from the food, more pizzaz and flavor and just a lil something more than what I got. Tbh I stopped at McDonald's on the way home, my entree didn't fill me up and left me wanting more.

Loved this resturant! The food was amazing and the atmosphere is cool. Jack the chef does an amazing job with the flavors and presentation of each dish. Highly recommend and we will be back on our next trip up north!

The overall experience was good. I reserved a table for my husband's birthday and upon arrival we waited 15 minutes to get a high top table, I requested the normal table and the waitress gave us a better one.

The melted mushroom toasts were amazing. The butter lettuce salad was fresh but under seasoned. A few items on the menue were not available such as the NY steak, or several desserts. The ribeye steak was ok, there was no fat marbles in the cuts and it made it a bit dry and not tender.

Overall compared to other resturaunts in the area, it was a good experience but definitely not a good choice for a special occasion.

We thoroughly enjoyed our dinner at Trestles. Hostess Blixha was friendly, sweet and helpful. Server Kimber was amazing - describing the food choices, Making suggestions based on our questions and paced the selections perfectly. She kept her professionalism even as one table was a bit obnoxious. A small space, indoors can be a little stuffy and loud. Four of us ate family style and the dishes were fabulous from the local oysters, fried green tomatoes, spring pea salad, halibut and the special, chicken salad… very very good!
