What a great sushi spot here in Capitola. My 8 year daughter and I came here tonight for dinner. Kevin, I’m guessing he was the owner, gave great recommendations for food, was very gracious that we were dining there, and was overall extremely pleasant to interact with. The edamame was no doubt the best I’ve ever had. Daughter agrees. Will be back, thank you for a great meal and wonderful atmosphere to dine in.

Best rainbow roll I have ever had. No kidding. The fish is fresh, and the rice is moist and fresh. I liked it so much, I went back 3 times that week!🤣 I haven't, yet, eaten in, only takeout. And, I have, only, had the rainbow roll. But the place is busy. And, all the food looked good. The restaurant is small, very casual, but clean, and cosy. There is, also, outside seating. My food came quickly. And, I was surprised for a little place, they served beer.

This is truly a hidden gem, my son considers this his favorite, and I can see why. The service is incredibly fast, the prices are affordable, and they make all his favorite rolls.
Today, I tried the vegan Veggie Garden roll, and wow! It's like a fresh salad in a sushi roll, packed with seaweed. It came with a side of perfect fresh miso soup.
If you're ever around the Capitola and need a fast sushi fix, this should be your choice. You won't be disappointed!

Two California rolls to-go should never take 40 minutes especially when it’s not busy at all. It’s understandable when it’s busy but not when there’s only 2 people inside. The only reason I go there is for quick cheap mid sushi, otherwise id get better sushi elsewhere. Just go to Akira or sushi garden yall. (:

Pros: the sushi is really good, and the staff is nice. Cons: they ration the sauces and some of the employees seem upset if you ask for more than 1 (like 1 each of two types ex: 1 spicy mayo 1 eel sauce) no matter the amount of rolls you order. They add extra ingredients to their rolls that aren't listed on the menu. This is think is what i dislike the most. What if someone has a intolerance or allergy. Ex: honeymoon rolls, they added a pesto sauce. It made the roll inedible. And now they've added italian CHEESE to the Volcano roll. They said they were trying to upscale their menu. Honestly, it was fine before. I think the additions do mot compliment the other ingredients and make the rolls odd and not desirable. Theyre also a little pricey, but similar to most places in the county 3 stars is my generous opinion of the sushi.
