It's cute but...no. The bowl of rice tasted oddly salty and just...weird. Like it's been reheated or something. How do you mess up steamed rice?! The popcorn roll was ok. And the rainbow roll. The sashimi was among the worst I've ever had. It wasn't slimey or rotten, it was just oddly hard? Very strange. It's too bad, the place is cute and the service is good but this is the most disappointing sushi place we've ever been to in the entire NorCal.

Ok, to go order at approx.Cook over the the shoulder of young girl, tells us us 20 minutes for our food to go. (Man burn out cook). Less than 10 minutes recieved food. Cold, shriveled, small portions! Returned the food. Manager gave me attitude. I gave a 5.00 $ tip prior to receiving my food! He gave me 21.00 $ . Wasabi sushi restaurant sucks!!!! I'll never go back!

What a great sushi spot here in Capitola. My 8 year daughter and I came here tonight for dinner. Kevin, I’m guessing he was the owner, gave great recommendations for food, was very gracious that we were dining there, and was overall extremely pleasant to interact with. The edamame was no doubt the best I’ve ever had. Daughter agrees. Will be back, thank you for a great meal and wonderful atmosphere to dine in.

Best rainbow roll I have ever had. No kidding. The fish is fresh, and the rice is moist and fresh. I liked it so much, I went back 3 times that week!🤣 I haven't, yet, eaten in, only takeout. And, I have, only, had the rainbow roll. But the place is busy. And, all the food looked good. The restaurant is small, very casual, but clean, and cosy. There is, also, outside seating. My food came quickly. And, I was surprised for a little place, they served beer.

This is truly a hidden gem, my son considers this his favorite, and I can see why. The service is incredibly fast, the prices are affordable, and they make all his favorite rolls.
Today, I tried the vegan Veggie Garden roll, and wow! It's like a fresh salad in a sushi roll, packed with seaweed. It came with a side of perfect fresh miso soup.
If you're ever around the Capitola and need a fast sushi fix, this should be your choice. You won't be disappointed!
