This is a wonderful place for a breakfast or brunch. Counter service will get you an amazing assortment of baked goods and pastries, as well as full breakfast plates. We had the chocolate chip mufffin and Nutella croissant. Those were scarfed down quickly. Then, we got the florentine Benedict which is a vegetarian’s dream, and the smoked salmon Benedict. The Salomon was devious and fresh. I highly recommend coming to this cafe!
This place has been around for a long time and my wife and I enjoy having the breakfast burrito and all kind of great pastries! The coffees excellent as well and the service is good people are friendly. Right in the heart of Carlsbad village.
This morning's coffee date landed at Cafe Elysa. Elysa serves a bold cup of coffee with tasty treats. They only offer outdoor seating, which allows the patrons to enjoy Carlsbad weather. Most of the outdoor seating is covered. I found myself savouring coffee by the fire pit. The fire and the music added to the peaceful ambience of Elysa, where I reflected on life. With Elysa located near the road, we experienced some traffic sounds. Next time you are near Carlsbad Village...
