Loved this place ever since it replaced the restaurant that moved out to Vista (which we also love and is now Shaks). The food is perfect - yummy but laid back - eggs and bacon and brekkie sands plus more hearty meals too - everything comes out tasting like the grill is clean and the pastries are worth the visit themselves. Gets very crowded when tourists pour in but rest of the year it’s very easy to get in order and eat.
The French toast was dry and absent of flavor. The hashbrowns were under cooked nicely browned on the outside and undercooked inside. I may try again in the future. Lastly this pla e is over priced for the taste.
Cafe Elysa, driving south for 4 hours, nice stop for breakfast. Friendly service, but definitely felt like we were known visitors. But of course we asked lots of questions and took our time ordering. There is only outside seating and it was a bit chilly (for a guy visiting from Texas). Thee was a nice fire we stayed warm by. The coffee selection was small, but the Milky Way was amazing. I would stop again if ever in the area!
