Yum!!! Enjoyed the Golden Hour Americano (wished the largest was a little larger) and the Salted Honey Oat Latte. Both enjoyable. Friendly, helpful cashier.

One of my favorite parts of the day. Consistently great service, amazingly great coffee and espresso drinks, and the best pastries I've ever had. It can get busy, but that's a function of how good it is!

Every morning around 6:45 we would walk from Lamp Lighter Inn to grab coffee to start the day off right. A great place for fresh pastries and breads, breakfast sandwhiches and the best morning loaf around. I love honey in my latte and it was made perfectly everytime. This is the same coffee that is served at the Lamp Lighter Inn as well.

As a Melbournian, visting from Australia, where coffee is king & better be served 5 star to rate, was so happy to find Carmel Valley Coffee Roasters, great coffee (strong Flat white x Hot) and the pastries were amazing fresh and excellent variety, also the Chicken Salad sandwich was the best!

Cute little shop with friendly staff. I had a turmeric ginger tea and my husband had a lemon drop cookie and an iced hibiscus elderberry iced tea. Everything was delicious. We sat outside at a cute little two-top table.

Coffee was great. Service was excellent. The huge sourdough dough coffee cake wasn't as good as I thought it would be. It's a bit dense. The atmosphere would have been better without the grease truck outside, which they can't help. Overall, it was a great so after a chilly morning walk on the beach.

Nice little place for coffee and to hang out if you need a quick rest. I got the surfs up and it was very good!

Cappuccino was a disaster—bubbly foam, scorched milk, and zero sign the barista knows what they’re doing.

We got the quiche and cinnamon roll! Cinnamon role was delicious, and the quiche was good. Would go back.
The line was a bit long, but that’s pretty standard during busy hours.

NICE COFFEE, BUT VISIT RUINED BY A RUDE CUSTOMER...
Some fun flavoured drinks here!
I enjoyed my fogbreaker latte.
I got it in a smaller size as 8oz is perfect for me.
A small queue, around mid-morning. Not a long wait.
Fruit juices and baked goods also available.
Some indoor and outdoor seating too.
The experience was unfortunately extremely marred by the woman in front of us in the queue - who, on hearing our English accents, insisted out loud that she just HAD to step sideways out of the queue away from us because we are tourists and she is a local here and she 'needed space'.
This shocked and upset me but I won't deduct any points from my review as the staff members themselves were friendly.
I unfortunately did not take a picture of their Cinnamon Cardamom Roll but out of all the pastries I have tried in Carmel, it was definitely the best and rich in flavour, most similar to what I have had in Scandinavian bakeries. For coffee lovers, get their FBL which I believe was Cinnamon, Vanilla and Honey. Nonetheless, perfectly balanced.
