I love this place - I'm so sad that they are temporarily closed. We come all the way from Elk Grove and this is the first place we hit . We always know we have to be there before 3 o'clock, or will miss out for that day. We always have wonderful servers and the lady who owns it is just a wonderful little lady. I can't find anything to compare with the food or the ambience of this restaurant. I can't wait till they open again. James and Joyce jones

Cute place- we came for lunch one day and had artichoke soup, which was fantastic. Would come back for breakfast as the menu and pictures look good. Just one more nice place in Carmel by the Sea :)

This place is great, but it is currently closed. They had a kitchen fire and don't have an estimated date for when they will reopen.

It's was a cozy place to eat. Went for breakfast with family and was quite busy. The seating/tables spaces are kind of close to each other. The food were good?

Currently, this place is closed because of a fire. My partner and I were coming here because of the good reviews, but unfortunately was closed. Looking forward to when it open so we can pay a visit.

One of our very favorite places! A Carmel staple, unlike anything else. Delicious breakfast and lunch in an old fashioned environment reminiscent of a bygone era! It hasn't changed in 30 years. Try the artichoke soup!

Wow I cannot wait to come back! It's been on my bucket list for years. Did not disappoint

Ambiance: super cute inside with very homey decor. It really lives up to its name -- everything seemed like a cottage interior, from the lacey throw pillows to the tiled floor to the wireframed chairs. However the service was extremely lacking. The waitress didn't come to our table for half an hour and when she finally did, it was to tell us to wait for someone else to come take our order. They also had a few missing items from the menu which is fine but it was poorly communicated. Food: pretty standard brunch food. But props for being one of the few reasonably-priced places in the area.

The food was exceptional. It was a quaint place and we really enjoyed it. They only take cash though but there is an atm inside.

Quaint, elegant, nostalgic and dreamy Pleasant servers and most print service. Excellent, old fashioned food.

All the websites and Google posts of this site say dog friendly but when we got there it wasn't, the correct information needs to be placed.

STAY AWAY FROM THIS HELL HOLE! Probably the worst service from the owner and the servers we've ever had in the state of California. Racists and after 28 years of business the service and the food is so horrific. I repeat stay away. Doris Day has a hotel across the street eat there I don't care eat at McDonald's. They have better service. Kathy, the owner was absolutely horrific in her response to us checking up if our food was ready as well as after they broke our bag of food and it went on the floor. They acted like it was our fault. They also don't offer receipts and only accept cash which is extremely questionable. Probably the worst experience we've had overall at any restaurant in our lives. If you want to cry, please go to this place cause I'll make you cry. PANCAKE HAD MOLD ON IT THIS WAS 16$ THIS PLACE IS A JOKE
