a fantastic hidden little gem with great food and excellent service. the desserts are spectacular, the pasta was lovely as well. very underrated, but highly worth it

My husband said his Italian Grandmother would have loved the food. The sauces tasted like she had nursed them in her kitchen for the past two days. The lamb shank has immediately gone to 'best ever' on our tracker. Service was great and the evening was wonderful. Worth the effort to get a seat at this very small, but very good spot.

A little hard to find but worth looking for! Great Italian food! The appetizers were amazing and the seafood linguine was amazing!

Always enjoy dinner at this quaint restaurant on our annual trip to Carmel/Pebble. Tremendous food from a tiny kitchen and friendly staff.

This is a reflection of our first 5 minutes only as we cancelled our visit soon after we arrived. I dine out frequently, I have food allergies to shrimp and nuts. On this visit, as we have dined here before, I let the server know my allergies and asked for help with the menu choices. I asked for help choosing between two likely entrees and salads. I then had the experience of the entire restaurant learning of my food allergies as the server then quite loudly announced that they couldn't assure me that the kitchen could accommodate me as there is cross contamination. I said I understood, as I have eaten at El Tagamino before, always carry EpiPens, and am quite careful about my food choices. I then received another loud speech to the entire room about my food allergies. At this point I decided she was more interested in communicating with the room as a whole instead of just to me and I was exhausted by this game. Understanding that EVERY SINGLE RESTAURANT in Carmel was able to handle my request to keep candied walnuts off my salad. SO, since Open Table sent an email asking how my dining went, I'm here to say not well.

While the star was friendly, the food was oily and very bland. Not worth the high prices. Would not return.

The food tasty very good. It was a new restaurant for my party. Everyone was very happy with the food and ambience. The staffs were very professional and attentive.

Wonderful flavor and interestingly pleasing new twist on traditional recipes. I would recommend eating at Il Tegamino.

one of the best italian restaurants i’ve been to. biggest reason being they use just enough salt to flavor their dishes. not obnoxious & the food felt light but filling. all three dishes we ordered were splendid! the waitress was also very kind and professional. i usually never leave reviews, but because the food was so delightful, i needed to spread the word! some cons—the dishes took a bit of time to come out. outside patio was ok, some flies were flying around but surprisingly did not swarm our food at all. but the food makes up for this! also, if youre struggling to find a restaurant without a long wait time, i would recommend here because they barely had any wait time (i think it was slightly past 6pm when we went) most likely due to the slightly hidden location. all in all—highly recommend!

I would have given five stars for the outstanding pasta, but they charged $9 for a bread basket that tasted like it came from a grocery store shelf. A very disappointing start to what otherwise was a delicious meal.

My husband and I really enjoyed this quaint restaurant. The food was outstanding and Nicole D, our server, was so friendly and kind even though the place was really busy. All of the other servers working with her were very efficient. We were here from Wisconsin so unfortunately we won't get the chance to stop in again.

Service is a little slow on the front of house side, took a while to get greeted after being seated even after making a reservation prior and just being a simple 2 top…however everything else is memorable and the food is quite incredible!

Value for money, food was Devine, cosy Italian setting. Staff were so nice. I recommend the Tiramisu.
