We loved the Restaurant it is darling and not too big. The bread came with a baked zucchini and oil dip that was really good. We ordered the Lasagna and it was perfect. Overall, everything was great 👍!
We had our rehearsal dinner (for 20 people) in the courtyard and it was great! The staff was so warm and welcoming (they let us bring our own flowers, too!), and the family style food was all wonderful! The gnocchi is so decadent and yummy (my fav), but the burrata salad, arancini, steak, roasted fish, and tiramisu were also perfect! They also had heat lamps set up outside so no one was cold with the Carmel fog. Highly recommend!

Absolutely the worst experience in Carmel by the Sea, a charming town we have visited for the last 5 years. The speciality of the house - seafood carbonara arrived without any seafood! The appetizer octopus was hard and chewy. Stay away. Overhyped, overpriced and simply the worst in town.
Amazing food and service. The seafood linguine pasta and ragu were highlights. Everything was delicious. The servers came to our table multiple times to make sure everything was good.
I can't wait to go back! We were in town for the big car show. So happy we made reservations here. The staff was unbelievably kind and accommodating. The food was delicious. Thank you for showing us such a good time while we visited Carmel.
We were kept waiting a half hour with a reservation. There appeared to be open tables. A man walked in same time we did without a reservation and was seated right away. Go figure. Not even a complementary glass of cheap wine. Once we were seated, food and service were fine. Oh and they have a 3% surcharge if you use a credit card. Fee was not disclosed up front.
Came here for an anniversary dinner during Car Week based on the reviews from others. The ambience is great here and exactly what I was looking for. The food was also very good, priced a bit high but well worth it. With that said, this place lacks good customer service. We had a 7:15pm reservation, still waited 10 mins to be seated although there were plenty of open spaces. Once seated, we were left alone for another 10-15 mins without even getting water or being asked about drinks/appetizers. Once the waiter came by to finally assist us, he was borderline rude when being asked a question simply because he hadn't finished his long winded spiel. I understand as a waiter, you want to run through the menu with clients, but if we hadn't waited 25 mins to be helped we might have been more receptive to listening to the entirety of the pitch. To make matters worse, around 8:30pm we were pressured to leave by the hostess because our table supposedly had another reservation booked for that time... We received our food close to 8pm, ordered a bottle of wine, and then were being asked to give up our table just 30 mins into the meal... So to sum it up, great food, poor service. If you're looking for a fancy date night restaurant in the area, choose from one of the many other places.
Felt and tasted like we transported to Italy for the evening. So authentic and romantic. We got the zucchini & bread appetizer, the ravioli and the pasta with short rib. For desert, we devoured the cheesecake. Everything was superb.
I wish I would have remembered to take a picture but we did spend 20 min at Carmel Beach right before dinner and I highly recommend that too!

a fantastic hidden little gem with great food and excellent service. the desserts are spectacular, the pasta was lovely as well. very underrated, but highly worth it
My husband said his Italian Grandmother would have loved the food. The sauces tasted like she had nursed them in her kitchen for the past two days. The lamb shank has immediately gone to 'best ever' on our tracker. Service was great and the evening was wonderful. Worth the effort to get a seat at this very small, but very good spot.

A little hard to find but worth looking for! Great Italian food! The appetizers were amazing and the seafood linguine was amazing!
Always enjoy dinner at this quaint restaurant on our annual trip to Carmel/Pebble. Tremendous food from a tiny kitchen and friendly staff.
This is a reflection of our first 5 minutes only as we cancelled our visit soon after we arrived. I dine out frequently, I have food allergies to shrimp and nuts. On this visit, as we have dined here before, I let the server know my allergies and asked for help with the menu choices. I asked for help choosing between two likely entrees and salads. I then had the experience of the entire restaurant learning of my food allergies as the server then quite loudly announced that they couldn't assure me that the kitchen could accommodate me as there is cross contamination. I said I understood, as I have eaten at El Tagamino before, always carry EpiPens, and am quite careful about my food choices. I then received another loud speech to the entire room about my food allergies. At this point I decided she was more interested in communicating with the room as a whole instead of just to me and I was exhausted by this game. Understanding that EVERY SINGLE RESTAURANT in Carmel was able to handle my request to keep candied walnuts off my salad. SO, since Open Table sent an email asking how my dining went, I'm here to say not well.
While the star was friendly, the food was oily and very bland. Not worth the high prices. Would not return.
The food tasty very good. It was a new restaurant for my party. Everyone was very happy with the food and ambience. The staffs were very professional and attentive.
