Amazing views, great food, and nice ambiance. Located in the Hyatt. A little challenging to park here, I would plan on doing valet parking. We actually enjoyed seeing whales off the coast while we ate breakfast.
I experienced a very relaxing happy hour visit at the Sunset lounge. Our server (Cassi) was so helpful and attentive our every request. Live music started in the lounge which topped off a perfect time spent at the Highlands Inn.
Incredible views! Great cocktails and super friendly staff. This place is a must-visit!

The Sunset Lounge offers a phenomenal view of the Pacific Ocean, with a pianist playing live music on Thursdays and Sundays. Located in a hotel lobby, the venue provides ample seating both with a view and indoors. Parking is convenient for both hotel guests and the public, and the lounge is wheelchair accessible with ramps and lifts. Guests can enjoy bites and drinks without the need for reservations. Visitors praise the friendly service, good food, and spectacular sunset views, making it a must-visit destination on the way to Carmel. The lounge is a great spot to relax and have drinks, with a live singer whose voice is incredible. The drinks are on the higher side but well-made, and the food is reported to be amazing, with excellent service and a peaceful atmosphere to enjoy dinner and the sunset.
