Service with a smile and good food to boot. It was relatively quiet I came in at around 10 am. Their smile comes across as genuinely happy for you to be there. I got a basic 2 sausage, egg, pancake order and the sausage was genuinely bursting with flavor eggs were yummy and pancakes were solid. In the middle of my breakfast a patron was leaving and the owners says see you tomorrow thank you. And I completely understand why someone would have such loyal customers. I highly recommend you come sit down and eat here if you can

The food was nice, we had breakfast but lunch was available with a decent selection. The service was good and the people were nice and welcoming. We'll go back again.

Great service and great food! Loved the Loco Moco. They were quick to refill my husband's drink which is a big deal for him.

I just discovered this wonderful, local hidden gem in Carpinteria .... Hugo's! Owners Brian and Susan offer an incredibly eclectic menu serving cuisine with everything from pancakes and decadent scrambled eggs to chilsquiles, to crispy chicken ceasar salad and cheese bacon burgers. Everything is prepared to order....the chefs work swiftly and thoroughly to create the most delicious dishes! Our wonderful server Alex was so attentive and We enjoyed pancakes with bacon and fluffy scrambled eggs, a patty melt with crispy French fries, and amazing French toast....all so fresh and delicious. I highly recommend Hugo's to anyone who would like to feel like family the minute you walk through the door. We can't wait to go back and try other dishes! This is the easiest 5 star review I've ever posted... Bravo Hugo's! #bestrestaurant #carpinteria #deliciouscuisine #hugos #familyfriendly

Stopped in a couple weeks ago after seeing long waits at the popular spots in Carp and my mind was blown by this little place. Coming back tomorrow!

Somewhat hidden at the end of a strip mall chock full of restaurant choices, Hugo's remains one quiet little place. In search of a tri-tip sando, they offered one. Reasonably priced, the the sando was done right, included a dill pickle and one side. I chose potato salad, and it was tasty. Several happy diners sat in the booths enjoying their lunch. Good food, good service, give Hugo's a try next time you were heading to Uncle Chens, Taco Bell, PB & J's or Rudy's.

I enjoyed my meal here. The prices were reasonable. I had wished that my plate could’ve had more food.
