This place is a really a gamble when it comes to service, sometimes they are efficient and attentive but other times it feels like I have to wave down staff for placing even a drink order after being seated. Additionally some staff can often seem flustered or bothered when asked for service.
Often I've observed staff (presumably off the clock) come in to bad mouth customers while they await for their friend/coworker to finish their shift. This has happened to me on at least 3 separate occasions and frankly after this most recent experience when someone verbally accused me of not tipping after closing my check has made me feel unwelcome(the waitress did correct them we had tipped but still so uncomfortable to hear that interaction as a customer)
In all honesty as good as the food is, I won't be bringing guest from out of town here anymore, clearly the staff doesn't appreciate the business so they won't receive anymore from me.

Everything was delicious- not your average flavor profile to each dish Chicken wings - excellent Fried chicken sandwich - zesty, flavorful, sweet Fried pickles - great snack Salad - fresh and delicious Fries - tasty Chicken tenders - nice amount, size, flavor

Great pub grub, very nice beers, and a nice dining area indoors and outdoors give a great vibe to a nice place. Attentive staff make sure you are looked after. Highly recommend a trip to Carpinteria and sampling some of their beers.
got a custom burger, it was quite tasty, bar was a little limited in options for cider and had no sours, service was excellent and it had a more relaxed atmosphere

Disappointed. So we were visiting the town, chose to order take out from this place. Fish Tacos, A Cuban Sandwich, 2 BOWLS of clam chowder, and the pretzel bites. The Cuban was ok. The pretzel bites themselves weren't bad, the dip was already seperated, and needed to be stirred. The 2 fish tacos... well, Im attaching pics. The clam chowder was supposed to be 2 bowls... we received 2-16 oz bowls, both only half full... so 8 ozs. Thats a cup! $12 each for those! Heavy on the potato, light on the clam, but otherwise flavor was ok.

i went here to enjoy a nice lunch with my family like i do every week, the food was great like always but one of the server was really rude just had an attitude. I don’t know why restaurants allow teenagers to work, i don’t know if she was having a bad day or something but she clearly took it out on us. I’ve been going here for years and never had a problem. I believe her name was sofia/sophia. Please work on improving your customer service thank you. Lost a loyal customer.
