Update (08/04/24): The business owner reached out shortly after I posted this review and refunded back our salad bar purchase. I wish we had noted down the staff member's name who attended to us that day, because the service we received differs greatly from the owner's response, and I most certainly do not appreciate being gaslighted here. We won't be coming back.
Came here for lunch and we chose the salad bar, which was priced according to the weight of the food you picked.
Upon paying for two of those, I realized that I am also paying for the weight of the container, which goes against California law. We spoke to the employee on duty and she claimed that the manager was not around, and refused to do anything about it.
What these guys are doing is unethical. You’ve been warned. Don’t get food from the salad bar.

Hands down the best food in Carpinteria. I just enjoyed the crack burrito, and even better if you can choose online to have it cut in half. It reheats so good and it will be my dinner this evening.
The daily editions are amazing (anything with mole, the fried chicken, raja tacos, and more)...Plus the pastry case.
Love support this small and locally owned business.

The Food Liaison has some of the best burritos. Their daily edition is usually as unique as it is delicious. This is by far one of the best lunch spots in Carpinteria.

I get lunch at the Food Liason pretty much every day. I love the crack bowl and the people that work there are awesome. Nice healthy local spot.
Vegetarian options: The crack bowl and burrito are great with or without meat.
A City employee recommended this spot for lunch. The menu items sounded too "healthy," but I went for it--best choice ever.Service: 11/5 Roseanne is super nice. Hooked me up with a cookie as a newbie. She assured me it did not taste gluten free. I wish I had bought a dozen!Food: 11/5 take Jack's bagels and wrap it around the best burrito you've had in a long time. I also don't generally like chicken, but this stuff was cooked and seasoned just right. This place earns the food liaison title with its ability to food whisper. It needs to be where I live.I'm a crack burrito addict. I need more excuses to work in Carpinteria.

The crack bowl and prosciutto open faced sandwich were so so good. Very clean and pleasant inside. Very enjoyable experience. Will be back! Very reasonably priced.
They're open on weekdays 11a-3p. Wish it were more often. Also, call in your order. I still cannot figure out their new online ordering system.

Very pleasant, casual/relaxing indoor & outdoor setting with friendly service. Slightly unique selections of food and drink, deliciously served.We had the Chicken Crack Burrito and Avocado Meets toast Tartine with Aqua Bonita Mango/Habanero drink.The burrito was saucy but not too wet, wrapped with lots of healthy and delicious vegetables and beans.The tartine toast was piled high with avocado, nuts, and yummy pickled red onions.The mango drink had a hint of habanero which gives some kick without being too spicy.

I ordered a cake for someone that was going to live internationally for at least a year. The owner was so helpful and sweet! I was allowed to pick the cake type and general direction on the decorations (e.g. Fruit - berries ). I couldnt have been more pleased with the results and went way beyond my expectations. The traveler told me that was the most beautiful cake she’s ever received. Not only was it beautiful it was very tasty. If you want a cake for a special occasion, this is the place to order it! Kudos to the baker, owner and Food Liaison!
