M & M Soul Food is a go-to spot in LA for delicious Venni Mac and other soul food classics. The oxtails, greens, cabbage, and catfish are well seasoned and flavorful. The meatloaf is also a hit, especially when paired with mashed potatoes and gravy, Mac & cheese, and red beans and rice. While the ambiance is not upscale, the welcoming environment makes up for it. The pork chops are a must-try, but be aware they may not have milk available. Although some servers could be more friendly, the staff is generally accommodating, and the service is decent. M & M Soul Food is highly recommended for a satisfying dining experience, but it’s wise to order takeout on busy days, especially Sundays after church, to avoid long waits.
