Tak E Sushi and Rolls

I’m very disappointed with my recent visit to Take Sushi & Rolls. I came in with the intention of ordering some sushi rolls, as I’ve been here before and enjoyed the food. Unfortunately, this experience was completely different.

When I asked the owner for a recommendation—just hoping for a little guidance—he seemed annoyed and uninterested. Instead of offering suggestions or making me feel welcome, he responded with a dismissive attitude. The conversation became uncomfortable as I explained I wasn’t very familiar with the menu, and he ultimately told me it was “up to me.”

Things escalated to the point where he canceled my order entirely and refunded me. I was shocked and confused by his behavior. I’ve never had an experience like this at any restaurant.

Sadly, after this encounter, I will not be returning to this place. It’s a shame, because I had good memories here—but respect and basic courtesy should always come with the service.

I don’t recommend this place.

Bought the tonkotsu with spice, chicken curry pork cutlet 2 rolls of sushi. Tonkotu ramen was good and flavorful, with the spice being perfect and not to over powering. The chicken curry pork cutlet was dry and the potatoes wasn’t cooked and was hard to bite into other than that the sushi rolls were delicious. My two complaints about this place is the guy that was taking my order was rushing me and when I asked about the sushi rolls special we wasn’t very clear in explaining it to me and I felt as if he was getting inpatient with me, so I ended up ordering these 2 rolls and still didn’t get the discount. Second is that I spent about $72 dollars for all of this which this is not worth the price of the quality of food and service.

Service was super fast. Buy one get one sushi rolls applies to all the rolls not just the classic. Yay! The reason I went, it was my first time. Food came out buy the time we sat down at the table. Food was amazing. We were so stuffed went right to sleep when we got home. 😴 😋 😍

I like the special " buy 2 rolls get one free". I recently had a small gathering and I thought buying a few rolls, figured 12 people, 12 rolls will be great and with their buy "2 get 1 roll free" special, I won't spend so much. To my surprise I only got 1 free roll. I asked if I can be honored the "buy two get 1 free", buying 8 rolls getting 4 free? The gentleman at the registered said I can only get 1nroll free no mater how many rolls I buy.I also noticed the gentleman at the register treats his customers differently if you don't tip. Thankfully I tipped him that day but there have been times I don't have enough to tip a full $10 (I'm referring to tipping for to go orders, there is no table service here) the gentleman was very dismissive, didn't let me ask my question, cut me off mis question saying "yes, yes, yes" waiving his hands for me to be on my way. I know not to go there if I don't have enough to tip him what he is expecting to be tipped to place your order in a to go back. The food at time is bland but there spicy california roll is good. Their bento box is a family favorite. The negatives are unfortunate however I hope my experiences don't get worse cuz I enjoy going here.
