Solid sushi place. Items were fresh. A bit pricey for the portions and quality. Try the salmon collar it was the best thing we had.

My wife and I just relocated up to Castaic from LA and we love this place. The service if great , the atmosphere is nice. But the best is the sushi is just so fresh. I'm also a plumber and did do some work here. I was eating when the Chief said look on the board and call a plumber I laughed and said I'm right here. We were done eating I went to the shop and got my rig and returned. What I'm getting at is the back kitchen area is very clean.

They were out of longastino for their longastino roll so I went with the rainbow roll instead and my word, was this not the worst looking roll I have ever come across. I think I'll stick to the other sushi spot up the road. They should also check their soda machine, the syrup mixture is off.

I’ve been going to Matsu for probably about 15 years and it is honestly my favorite sushi restaurant! It has ruined me for other sushi!! The employees are wonderful. The food is consistent. The quality is always top tier. I moved about an hour away from this place and I still dedicate my time to come here whenever I get the chance. If you want good sushi, good people, and a nice time, come to Matsu!

I’ve been here multiple times now and every time, with every server, the service has been impeccable. I highly recommend the bento boxes! The sushi quality is also fantastic. Definitely a favorite lunch spot.

Farewell. Quality in service and buisness in general tanked I've love this place for 8 years. Today was the most silent meal I've ever had here. Definitely hands down miss the companionship of previous servers here. Absolutely disappointed in the bug I was unaware I was eating with. Realized how dusty everything else was. I parked at the Tesla Supercharger and needed to use a restroom. I saw the sign saying that the restroom was for customers only but politely asked the hostess if I could use the restroom anyways. She said I needed to buy something and the cheapest option was around $5. I'm sorry, but I was obviously just needing to use the bathroom and not some crackhead looking to get high in the bathroom. I will never go to this establishment purely because of this experience! I went to the Amecci pizza next door and offered a dollar to just use the restroom and they told me not to worry about it and just go ahead. I didn't have any cash on me or I would have tipped just for the gesture.
