The brisket is delicious! So soft it breaks apart easily. The ribs are not dry. The mac and cheese gives Olive Garden fettucines at first bite. The corn bread is NOT it but the garlic bread is great, especially with the brisket. One two meat combo, with extra side and bread is big enough for two people.

Ok I went with my fam and we ordered ribs and Brisket and chicken
Sides... potato salad, Fry's, and Mac and cheese.
Brisket was not bad. We got that bloody chicken they have a script on the chalk board to tell you scientifically why is red inside. I couldn't stomach to look at how red it was inside. We told her and she gave us the burnt ends. French fry's just buy some quality fry's. Omg the burnt ends was drowning in there sauce it wasn’t good at all. I'm sorry to say these things but we all work hard for our money. And we got sick as soon as we left. I will never go back. The young lady was extremely nice. If they could tweak there food they would have a good thing going

No rush people to go there do your research. And just try something small first to see if u like it.

Excellent bbq place in Castro valley. You get the expected smoked meats with sides and beer with above average quality. Just the price is very high, expect to pay ~$50 per person.

Can’t wait to share how much I loved this place, I feel my words can’t describe how amazing they are!they have high quality bbq brisket and pork rib, nice and patio to relax and chill with friends and family gatherings.

They have stubborn soda on tap. Love the cream sofa and citrus soda.

When I first came here the food was pretty good and I told everybody about it, that was a year or so ago. Ever since then coming back the food is horrible, the meat wasn’t even cooked right. And don’t even get me started on the sides. Not what “bbq” should taste like.

Brisket is top notch. I've also had the tri-tip snd it's delicious. The cobbler was terrific with ice cream. I haven't had the salad but it's enormous and they pile on the meat. The coleslaw is not good (too bland) and I was not impressed with the cornbread. Come here for the proteins and you won't be disappointed. Proteins and beer and you can't go wrong.

I want to like this place cuz I love bbq but the meat is not consistent. Last time I ordered the brisket sandwich is was juicy ?; however, today the brisket was very DRY!! You know they noticed when making it but don't bother to mention. And the coleslaw has NO FLAVOR AT ALL. FRIES HAD NO FLAVOR....no salt or seasoning. I keep coming back hoping for consistency, but epic fail. Especially for 30 bucks.

The food was amazing. And the service was super fast. I placed a pickup order, it originally said it would take about 16 mins before it was done. It took 6 mins. Did not disappoint in anyway. Thank you Canyons for our dinner!
