First time at the restaurant in Castro Valley. Friendly staff, cool outdoor dining area with live music, along with indoor seating as an option.

Good selection of meats and side dishes. Large selection of beers on tap.

Overall food was pretty good.

You enter the restaurant and place your order at the counter. Head to a table to start sipping our beers and wait for a text or food was ready.

The text arrived very fast, headed inside to pick up our three dine in meals.

Not thrilled with the fact the dine in meals are placed on the counter where people are sampling and ordering beers on tap….

Yes, I’ll go back mainly for the cool vibe and nice people.

Excellent service is so underrated. Debbie was really helpful and kind. I guess it was obvious to her that it was my first time here. I'll definitely be back soon. Food portions were just right and we'll made.

I cook allot and sometimes I would like to enjoy a prepared meal. This food came out like fast food and looked lifeless on the tray.
Now that I think about it there was no smell of anything being prepared in the air.
My chicken was undercooked (red areas) and dry. My daughter and I didn’t finish our meals (BBQ?) and walked away after spending $60 not pleased.
* if I point and ask for a sauce ,
ask me how many, don’t point me to do it myself at a station with no sauce cups

It is all about the brisket, delicious firm but not under cooked good amount of smoke. We also had the pull pork and the ribs, all were delicious. It is worth the drive, great people on the other side of the counter.

I've heard a lot about this place here in Castro Valley. The burnt ends we're okay just a little bit salty for me but other than that they were flavorful and very tender. The brisket sandwich I had was excellent juicy flavorful and the bread was perfect I will definitely come back again

I wanted to give a higher rating. The flavours are good. Nice smoke and tenderness. Weight is the issue. I guess they weigh the packaging as well, and the ribs are a bit skimpy.....

The brisket is delicious! So soft it breaks apart easily. The ribs are not dry. The mac and cheese gives Olive Garden fettucines at first bite. The corn bread is NOT it but the garlic bread is great, especially with the brisket. One two meat combo, with extra side and bread is big enough for two people.

Ok I went with my fam and we ordered ribs and Brisket and chicken

Sides... potato salad, Fry's, and Mac and cheese.
Brisket was not bad. We got that bloody chicken they have a script on the chalk board to tell you scientifically why is red inside. I couldn't stomach to look at how red it was inside. We told her and she gave us the burnt ends. French fry's just buy some quality fry's. Omg the burnt ends was drowning in there sauce it wasn’t good at all. I'm sorry to say these things but we all work hard for our money. And we got sick as soon as we left. I will never go back. The young lady was extremely nice. If they could tweak there food they would have a good thing going
I only gave 2 stars for the cashier
Oh and my ribs were decent
No rush people to go there do your research. And just try something small first to see if u like it.

Excellent bbq place in Castro valley. You get the expected smoked meats with sides and beer with above average quality. Just the price is very high, expect to pay ~$50 per person.

Never goes wrong in this local restaurant!
Can’t wait to share how much I loved this place, I feel my words can’t describe how amazing they are!they have high quality bbq brisket and pork rib, nice and patio to relax and chill with friends and family gatherings.
Definitely would like to come again and again?
