Knudsen's Restaurant-Ice Creamery is an old-school ice cream parlor in Castro Valley, celebrated for their generous portions of sandwiches, burgers, and delicious ice cream creations. The friendly and attentive staff create a welcoming atmosphere, perfect for kids and families. They offer unique treats like a frozen banana dipped in chocolate and nuts, alongside a variety of pies, especially the popular mud pies. The food is highly recommended, with favorites including the crab sandwich, Model A burger, and BLT. Ice cream servings are huge, making it a great place for a Banana Split fix. Additionally, they feature an assortment of chocolates, including sugar-free options. Note that they will be closed for renovation from Xmas till March 2024.
