Awesome place to meet your girlfriends for brunch.

I have found my new go-to favorite bottle, right here at Cordial Bottle Shop! When they first opened at the Castro Valley Marketplace, they were located in the cellar which was downstairs on the lower level. They have since moved on the main level to a smaller section, but they still have a wonderful array of curated beverages customers can browse through. My new found fave is their 'Love You Bunches' from Santa Barbara, it is one of their only orange wines they have on the floor. Danielle was very helpful and personable, great to talk to. If you find something on the floor that you want to drink same day and it's best chilled, don't hesitate to ask if they have one that is in their fridge. They have a few high tables on the perimeter of their wine displays, they're used for their wine tasting events that occur Wednesdays 5pm-7pm $15 and Saturdays complimentary tastings from 5pm-7pm. A wine club is also available to be a part of - $54 / mo. for 2 curated bottles they'll select and provide notes for you. Wine isn't your thing? They also have other spirits, beers, and liquor available.

It was bittersweet when their store in San Leandro closed, but we were thrilled to discover they've opened a new one in Castro Valley. The new spot is somewhat limited in variety because of the smaller space, but what they lack in range, they make up for with their exceptional service. They're always welcoming and eager to assist, and they're very accommodating about ordering items that aren't currently in stock.

Interesting selections. Plus I see they have alcohol ice cream which tasted very boozy. Must try!!?

Great ambiance, there was a good live band. Plenty of tasty wines and they have delicious bitings.

Love how elegant they've made this basement space - it's always a nice respite from the outside world. Enjoy their flights and great beer selection, and the popcorn is always tasty. Peer into the heart of deliciousness with the sous vide cheesecake, made of goat cheese with graham cracker crumbs and Irish whiskey dulce de leche. Quite tasty! But I admit, I was sad to see it served in jar form versus a slice. I probably should have guessed that from the "sous vide," huh?

We go to their happy hour and just love the ambiance of their downstairs lounge.

We usually only come here for special events where they do a set menu and wine pairing. Last one we went to was Hawaiian themed with a live band playing Xmas music island style. We always have a good time. It's usually fairly intimate and each dinner has about 20-25 guests. Just follow Castro Valley Marketplace on social media to get notified about these events.

A hidden gem in the basement, this is a favorite wine bar. Creative wine flights are a strong draw. Staff are knowledgeable, there is a limited selection of bar food.

Sadly the sales rep working the store front picks and chooses who she wants to acknowledge and help. I looked around the entire "store" and took my time to see what I wanted. I was the only person in there. She even made nice with people passing by who was not in the store. Because I was ignored, I decided I will not spend my money at a place who can't even say hello. The cherry on top, as I was leaving, a white male walked in and she greeted him with the most helpful "Hello!".... I liked it better when the cellar was downstairs in the lounge. The service was better.

They have good stuff, not the same thing you find everywhere else. They put some thought into it

Great selection of higher end beer and spirits.

rounding up a bit for the great service. good selection of craft beer on tap, wine and small bites. but to me, the vibe is weird. it's in the basement of Castro Valley Marketplace (awesome shops and eateries) and it feels like a storage room, e.g., no windows. not sure I'd make a point to return unless I was already shopping in the Marketplace. but staff is awesome
