Hands down one of my favorite places to eat! I have such fond memories of coming here with my buddies. We all very large appetites so when I noticed the menus have such big portion sizes and so many pictures I was excited. But as the skeptic I am, I reserved my judgement seeing as most restaurant menus make the food seem bigger and nicer than it is. Not so with El Rancho! I love the steak and popcorn shrimp special. The steak is always nicely seasoned and very tender. Since we had a takeout order, I was very surprised at how much popcorn shrimp they provided - it was a huge amount! And the vegetables were seasoned nicely and not overcooked. I hate slimy vegetables!
Other than the diner-like atmosphere, this is one of the best locations for affordable steak dining. This place should be a lot busier considering the food and the prices. Great place for a steak dinner without breaking the bank. Also offers diner fare and some Mexican food of course. Easily a better option than typical steakhouse chains.
