Lake Chabot is a great place to walk - shorter walks or even the 9 mile very scenic loop around the Lake starting and ending at the Marina Snack Bar/Cafe. Not much of a place to eat through very limited selection - much much less than a 7-11.
We had a Great Lake tour by Mr. Will
Very relaxing.
Lots of available picnic areas here. Mainly by reservation.
MUST-TRY MENU!
I’ve visited this café a few times in the past and it’s always been good, but ever since they brought in a new chef 👨🍳 with a fresh menu, the place has a whole new energy. I sampled one of every item and my favorites are:
🌟 The Breakfast Bowl (from the breakfast menu)
🌟 The Hot Dog (from the lunch menu)
If you stop by over the weekend, you won’t be disappointed with the food selection!
I'm a super nice place to enjoy with the family
Very good

Helpful friendly staff, purchased fishing permit
It's a good spot for everyone including dogs on a leash. Fishing is available check in at front it's $5.00 free parking on side of road be sure to not have valuables inside your vehicle to avoid windows smashed in. Parking inside I didn't park inside so I didn't pay a fee. There's boat rentals available as well.
Used to be my happy place. Loved the hour of peace of paddling to the reservoir and back. Used to be able to print a form at home and quickly get thru rental process. Then that was changed and I had to fill out some form there that was 7/8ths disclaimer. Yesterday it is now an ipad, where I had to watch a several minute video THAT SAID NOT ONE THING ABOUT KAYAKING. Then after typing in my name and address the program would not accept my signature over and over again. Just gave up. Will never be back. Very very very sad about this.

Many fishing sites. I have never crossed the trail.
Cool place to rent out a boat to go on the lake. Be aware of wait times if it's busy. You may not get the pontoon boats, due to popularity.
Just needs a little bit more variety of food and maybe a couple more workers. Other than that I love the place nothing really negative about it mostly positive things besides this.
We can't swim because of an algae bloom. All around not a very great experience.
I'm not sure what marina the truly disrespectful reviews below mine were from, because my family and I rented a pedal boat here yesterday and we had an incredible experience. ALL the staff we interacted with were friendly, hospitable, communicative, and helpful. Especially Bre, who helped my aging parents in and out of the boat with such care.
The cafe grill was closed and the staff there were forthcoming with info and apology.
This is a wonderful spot for a no frills adventure with your family. The prices are affordable and the service was great.
Though if you are looking for something high-end where your every irrelevant need will be met, this might not be the place for you. But if you are looking for a wonderful, affordable outing with your family, this place rocks. And the staff, when treated with generosity and kindness, reflected that same helpful spirit back to us.
Can't wait to come back again.
