I grew up eating here when I live in CV. The lady that ran this establishment did it for 35 years, I'm glad it's still in the family. I happened to stop by for the first time in over a decade, and the ice cream and service were still 5 how I remembered. Keep it up.
Loard's is a local ice cream chain that has been around since the 50's and it has some seriously good ice cream! We were visiting the area and went to Loard's for dessert and were very pleased with everything we got. I got a coffee sundae with coffee ice cream, fudge, and coffee syrup and it was so good! It was a lot of ice cream so I ended up eating half that night and the rest a couple nights later. It is a great place to stop for dessert if you are in the Hayward/Castro...
I got Hawaii Sunday and it was delicious. The ice cream parlor is all pink and white with these beautiful couches which gives them a Barbie vibe, perfect for young children. Loved the ice-cream and the service was excellent. Would recommend this place if you’re around the area and craving for a nice sweet treat.
