These really are the best pupusas in the Coachella Valley. I just ate at four different pupusa places there in four days. Five03 has the best pupusas— and the weirdest name. The curtido is fabulous: finely shredded, spicy, sweet and tangy. No Tapatio sauce, but no need, because their home-made spicy sauce is wonderful. Coffee is good. here's a cuisine you don't come across often, Salvadoran. They don't have a large menu but it's meant more as an order at the front and take your food rather than sit down fine dining. We recently hosted a private event that was catered by Five 03 Pupusas in Cathedral City, and it was absolutely fantastic! The food was fresh, flavorful, and so delicious—everyone raved about the pupusas. Their agua frescas were the perfect refreshing touch, and paired perfectly with the meal. On top of that, the service was outstanding—friendly, attentive, and made everything run smoothly.
