So there are two different places called the sand trap this review is for the one in cathedral city. This place is my kinda bar it's been here for over 40 years and the wonderful lady who runs it has owned it for 30 years. It's a total hole in the wall but it's my kinda bar and should be considered a local treasure. So when you go there you have to get the grilled shrimp. She makes them spicy or mild (both were kinda spicy but in a pleasant way). The plate will run you about $35 but it's enough for 2 people to share. For drinks it's mainly domestic beers, bottled or canned. No frills great shrimp and great company check it out!

After living here for 9 years, it's about time that, I help someone find the best eatery in Beaumont, CA. Exhibit A. The Cheeseburgers are off the chain, period. With those fat fries and the taste of the meat, yes. Exhibit B. The mixed drinks!!! There's not a rookie bartender in the facility. Try the Lemon Drop with the burger and the fat fries; #1!!! Exhibit C. The waitress' are the nicest, Kathy waited on us last Sunday, a sweetheart and yes she's married. Exhibit D. It's a Sports Bar and a Norm's all one. Love the food. The shrimp is amazing, the alpastor quesadilla is great. Best home made Mexican food. The atmosphere is so relaxing you feel at home.

Cash Only! Beers are served in cans or bottles, but if you are lucky enough to show up on the days the owner is cooking shrimp OMG you are in for a treat. 5 stars for the Shrimp and 3 stars for the location. Yes it's a dive bar, but the food is awesome! The owner makes it from scratch. Pool table is available.
