Duckies is the BEST! Service is fast, kind and efficient and the food is amazing! Best chowder and squid ever! Cannot wait to come back and have it again. Not to mention, steps from the beach and you can sit and look at the beach and sound of the waves whilst you enjoy your perfect meal. YUM!

Duckies is a laid back local restaurant just steps from the beach. Some outdoor seating is available. We come for the "white" chowder as it is called here. There is a full menu with fresh seafood, sandwiches and salads. Beer and wine are also available. Food is ordered and paid for at the counter, then delivered to your table. Service is very good. Duckies also has a large Take Out business. Parking is convenient.

I order a crab sandwich that was practically $20 and it was the most tiny cheapest soggy toasted bread with a faintest smear of crab and just a avacado flake, I gagged after a bite and took it back up and showed them how pathetic it was and you’re ripping people off with this thing. So I ordered something different, got the mix seafood platter and I bit into and gagged again on what was a deep fried jalapeños popper, but they don’t have those on the menus so I got the mystery thing in the deep fryer! Probably on purpose. Spent an absurd amount of money for my family and everyone wasted their food cuz it was so gross and pathetic. Tourist trap is an understatement. I’m never going back! The experience was so awful I’m leaving a review.

Our Fries were between warm and cold. It was busy so I didn't want to wait in a long line to say my fries were cold, when we should have been given hot fries to begin with. And our beer glass was just simi chilled.
Well, I can’t imagine being in Cayucos and not having some chowder! At the edge of town, it is easy to miss unless you stumble into it. Chowder was excellent, beer was cold and the service was spot on, especially considering it was a busy lunch crowd! Recommended! 👍🏼

Well, I can’t imagine being in Cayucos and not having some chowder! At the edge of town, it is easy to miss unless you stumble into it. Chowder was excellent, beer was cold and the service was spot on, especially considering it was a busy lunch crowd! Recommended! 👍🏼
