We sat at the bar facing the ocean, which was fabulous on a Tuesday at about 1 in the afternoon. We each had a vodka sprite cocktail, which was disappointing as it was short and weak and served by a bartender who never cracked a smile. The two disappointing cocktails came to $18.00.
I miss the old Schooners ambiance.
No thanks.
Food was tasty. Really loved a couple of the fries I stole off my son's plate. Their clam chowder was good. Just wished there would have been a little more clam to it.
Really loved the live band that was playing.
Good seafood options at a a standard price close to hotels
We stayed in Cayucos 3 nights and went here for dinner twice! Delicious food in a casual setting with a great view.
Only reason I am leaving 2 stars is the standard way they cook ground beef is medium rare. This is a huge health risk issue to the public and should be addressed by ownership and local health organizations. Great location and friendly staff but this must be addressed.
Waitress was very kind and attentive. Clam chowder and fish n' chips were great. Nice atmosphere right on the coast. Would highly recommend Schooners!

Great views - yummy food and beer selections - lots of different seating areas to choose from. Always meet someone cool at the bar and have great conversations. Located right downtown - easy parking on street.

Menu looked awesome, but after waiting on a bench in the cold for 20 minutes we left. We were not asked if wanted drinks. The wind blew out the small fire we requested, leaving us with propane gas that ended up shutting off ourselves.
This was the second bad experience I had here. The first time, I ordered take out, but it took 15 minutes just to find the correct person to order from and 45 more minutes to get my order. I will not give them a third chance.
We are here twice while in town. Great food. Ordered a lot of appetizers! Yummy.
