When you go to Pinoy Pinay it is like home. Staffs are friendly and accommodating. Love this place

meats designed for a bed of rice; the adobo pork was a fatty flavour-bomb that melted into its rather oily sauce, certainly salty too but its the kind meant to compliment rice. the beef kaldereta? went a wee too heavy into the salts and oil though; felt very much like a local cafeteria for hearty-fatty meals.

Tried Pinoy Pinay Filipino Fast Food after almost two months away from the Philippines, and honestly, when you’ve been away that long, any Filipino food already hits differently.

Don’t get the photos wrong, though. Minutes after I took these on a Saturday afternoon, the place was packed, so clearly, it’s a go-to spot for a lot of people.

It’s very much carinderia-style, straightforward, no-frills, you pick your dishes and go.

Food-wise, the lechon kawali wasn’t as crispy as I was hoping it would be. The beef steak and adobo were just so-so, I’ve definitely had better back in the Philippines. But to be fair, it’s a bit unfair to compare Filipino food here in the US to what you get back home.

Overall, not the absolute best, not the worst either, just okay. But when you’re craving a taste of home, “just okay” still hits the spot.

I was visiting from out of town and wanted Filipino food for a family party. I ordered and specifically asked if they accept credit cards and was told yes. When I went to pick up the food, I presented my CC and the woman said “oh, no only cash”. I was told on the phone when I ordered, you accept CC. She said “you have Zelle?” I said “no” in the course of trying to set up a Zelle account, my food is sitting there getting cold. I tried for 15 min with no luck. I finally decided to call my girlfriend and explained the situation. Thankfully she rescued me with cash. Please note although, the front door entrance says they accept CC, they DON’T. I ordered a tray of Bihon and Lumpia. The lumpia was burnt, small and soggy. The Bihon was decent. However, be sure you have CASH. Will NOT use them next time.
