Food was amazing. Service was horrible. Waited almost 45 minutes to get a glass of water. Hopefully they will fix the service issue soon.

Great local spot for Peruvian bites. My parents come here all the time and take me when i visit. The Ceviche Mixto is my faaaavorite 🤤Dalia and Angela are also so nice and knowledgeable. If you get them as servers you're so lucky, ask them for some recommendations. But you can't go wrong with anything really.

Definitely not coming back food lacked the authentic Peruvian taste. Was disappointed with the service the length of what we waited to be served. Peruvian food is not cheap but his location lacked flavor. Had the Ceviche de pescado, Jalea de mariscos, and Tallarin verde. All typical dishes, felt very let down. Also we were not told about the difference of paying with card verses cash. Do better!

As a native Peruvian, they have the best Chaufa that I've tried so far in the valley 10/10. Customer service is great as well, friendly staff, tasty food, never seems too busy. Will be going again

I AM

If you’re craving a taste of Peru that feels like a heartfelt hug from home, El Ají Picante in Chatsworth is the place to go. From the moment you step in, you’re welcomed by the incredible Alexandra, whose friendly service makes you feel like part of the family. But the real magic happens in the kitchen, where Jean Paul, the owner and chef, crafts dishes that transport you straight to the heart of Peru. The ceviches and soups? Hands down the best in LA—fresh, zesty, and packed with authentic flavor. Every bite is a burst of spicy, soulful goodness, made with love. For me, as someone missing home here in CALIFORNIA, this gem is the closest thing to being back there. Don’t miss it!

Amazing Peruvian food A+

Food was ok but the place is a nasty little joint. Slightly overpriced for Peruvian food in that funky neighborhood. Go somewhere else. Also, no other customers in the restaurant and we were completely ignored. The place reeks of no class. Funky attitude and service.

El Aji Picante has delicious, authentic Peruvian food. The lunch special is M-F and the service is excellent. Highly recommended this place!
