“This place is a-mazing! As we walked in we were immediately welcomed by friendly staff and were seated quickly. We ordered an array of unique and amazingly delicious sushi. This sushi chef has been here for over 30 years making delicious delicacies. You can immediately tell the love and care put into each dish. They are works of art. Wow. If I could, I would leave 10 stars. This is truly a hidden gem. They also gave us a complimentary dish, which was just a huge bonus. I highly recommend eating here and bringing your family. Also, the volcano roll was on point. Thank you again to the wonderful owners here. They are very kind people.“

“On the road to Palm Springs and found Gramma’s for a late breakfast. Cute place walking I. Takes you back in time. Food was tasty but make sure if you order the banana nut bread (too sweet for us) that you order it warm. Friendly service but slow. Slower than molasses in January. Slower than gramma at 95. Unless you’re in a hurry, this is a good place to get a bite. We’re adding it to our road trip list of good places to eat.“

Family owned and operated and their tickets times are longer than most places but it is absolutely worth the wait times. “This restaurant needs more workers. I placed my order over the phone, they said 15 minutes. I get there and the cashier forgot to submit my order. I had to wait another 30 minutes because the place is packed and they only have one person answering phone, taking physical orders and serving. It looked like they also only had one person in the kitchen.“

The salsa for the nachos was a bit watery, but still tasty (I ate it anyway, haha). The portions were big! I had two tacos, one shrimp and one fish, while my husband had three tacos. “Whenever I’m craving sushi or ramen, I drive an hour and 15 minutes to this place.
I love everything I’ve tried there so far.
One of the employees who has been working there for many years — I don’t know her name, but she’s a lovely petite Japanese woman — is absolutely wonderful. She always provides excellent service.“

“We just came from having breakfast at the Kafe Royale. We have been coming here for many years. Everything was ok but we had the most nasty waitress. From when we were seated, she had the worst attitude. Very lazy stout woman, very flippant. I never post reviews, but, I was so upset. Maybe management will go through the reviews. Although she was not wearing a name tag. She was a large heavyset woman with her hair in a bun, her station was on the left side as soon as you walk in. My husband and I both have trouble walking and use canes. We have always given the waitress our bill to bring up for payment. This time after giving her our bill as she returned to the register she said loud enough for us to hear" Well you always have the option to pay your bill yourself" I felt so embarrassed . I did however, tell her I thought that was very rude.“

“Casa Cruz restaurant is authentic Mexican food, so they have fish tacos, a lot of seafood items and spicy items. If you're going east on Ramsey once you see the big sign on the left you'll turn left on that first little street because parking is behind the building. The door is on the side of the building close to the street facing westbound. So if you come off the East freeway in get off on 22nd Street you would go left off the freeway come to Ramsey and go left and when you see the big sign that says Casa Cruz you'll go past the restaurant and turn onto that little side street. You could actually Order ahead and then go pick up your order and take it home. The other option is of course sitting in the restaurant they have a pretty decent sized dining room and they also have a bar. Since I do not do spicy food or seafood, I got the steak quesadilla with white cheese. It comes with a scoop of sour cream and a scoop of guacamole. My mother-in-law got their enchilada meal. Choice of enchilada, beans and rice. It was very good. The staff is also very friendly.“

They are always packed and still manage to get everything out in a timely manner and their restaurant is always clean. My family and I don’t eat out much but when we do, it’s usually this place.“
