Even a cowboy’s gotta stray from the coast now and then, and when I did, I ended up at Ali Baba in Chico, where the gyro plate made me feel like I’d stumbled into a Mediterranean chuckwagon dream.

That lamb and beef? Thin-sliced, perfectly seasoned, with just enough crispy on the edge to make every bite count. Laid over a bed of fluffy golden rice, it was practically begging for that cool, creamy tzatziki and trust me, they didn’t hold back. The hummus...

I love ali baba!! Their shawarma chicken is so yummy and i get it every time. Its a massive portion and its so good with the hummus, and they even have a little salad with it thats pretty solid too! I think it's a great place to try if you like garlicky and Mediterranean food

Ali Baba is delicious! Everything we have ordered has always been excellent! The rice has great flavor and is cooked to perfection; and the gyro and chicken are tender and delicious. I recommend getting extra garlic sauce - you won’t regret it!
