food is bomb, i get the crunchy roll and I have no complaints other than the fact that the rolls are kinda small. very expensive for the quality but it'll do on Mondays when other sushi restaurants are closed. Drink selections are good but also quite expensive and not enough alcohol for the price. staff is friendly, but tables are small.

Ordered a mobile order for me and my boyfriend when the google ordering was OPEN and didn't seem to be too busy, and was given a text confirming my order and not even 5 minutes later was given another text that said my order was cancelled and could not be completed. if you're going to have online ordering available you would think it would ACTUALLY be available. I then tried calling and it said the line was unable to complete my call for 10 minutes. I understand businesses get busy but it's pouring rain on a Sunday at 5 pm, you'd think they could complete an order of a couple things without it being an overbearing amount of work.

Lila was so sweet and her service was amazing! She recommended the crab taco, and omg it was so worth the hype! I'm going back for those tacos. Also the food was fire, Big Tuna is definitely my new sushi go to! The restaurant setting was also so beautiful that made hanging out with my friends do much nicer

We had a pretty wonderful dinner at Big Tuna this past weekend! We were seated pretty quickly, but the two parties that walked in behind us were quoted 15-20 mins, so we must've got their last available table. As he sat us, the host said that our server was slammed, so essentially... "bear with him". Our expectations were tempered, and the service was just about what you'd expect with that kind of warning. The good: the food was phenomenal. We ordered edamame for the table. I got for myself miso soup, green salad with chicken, and a California roll. My boyfriend got two Japanese tacos (they looked so good!) and a few "grown up" sushi rolls that he quite enjoyed. The not so good: the service was a miss. In his defense, our server WAS slammed. Not sure if they were short staffed or if they routinely over-seat their servers to that degree... but we paid for it with extended periods of empty water and soda glasses. This was my first time here; with food that good it's worth the risk of another dinner with slow service. So, we'll be back!

I've had them when they are excellent and when they are not so excellent. This is not a "consistently 3 stars in quality" rating. This is a "sometimes 5 stars, sometimes 2 stars rating." The first times I came here, 5 stars. Service was excellent, one of those interactions that feels so good that you feel uplifted for a while afterward and remember her. The next time, completely mediocre and there are some dishes that are just Really Not Good (the one that stands out the most is actually their flavored edamames, which, come on, get it together. Like, they use your standard vinegar-y hot sauce in it. Not my thing.). One of my biggest priorities with local places is *consistency*. Consistent they are *not*. Personally, when places are inconsistent, I end up having buyers remorse and it puts a bad taste in my mouth. Dining out has become such an expensive service that it's pretty unacceptable in my eyes to not consistently provide top notch experiences. I've been here 3 times and my star rating varies each time. Sometimes it will be too warm and uncomfortable in the building. One time I got otoro sashimi and there was still a bit of frozen middle, which, come on I'm telling to fool myself that I'm eating extremely fresh fish. The ocean is not nearby but it's mere hours from Chico. All in all, would I go here again? Yes. Do I find myself itching to go here? Not at all. I'll drive the hour and a half to Mikuni in Sac and Roseville instead.

My go to spot for sushi in Chico. Oyster shooters are great. Quality of the sushi is good. Place is always clean and service is always solid. It can get pretty busy around dinner time so you may need to call ahead.

The sushi chefs and hosts are the kindest and nicest people around. The quality of the sushi is by far the best in Chico and the prices you can't beat.

Great food, great vibes. Got the beef udon, beef was tougher than expected and it comes with seaweed in it. (Not dried seaweed) the shrimp tempura roll was great. Crab stuffed fried mushrooms were fine. Takoyaki was more on the creamy side and it was delicious but I think they could've cooked it a bit longer.

Had a quick lunch and I can say that the quality of the fish was very good (had salmon sashimi and a raw scallop roll) served by an attentive and friendly staff. Very reasonable prices too. I'll definitely go back.

I paid 15 dollars for THIS?? There's are incredibly small. I could get a full meal from Sierra Nevada for that price. At least fluff it up with some more rice or something.

Love there tuna rolls and ramen soups and wrapped steak in bacon and fried prawns. Excellent food. Service is great. Eat there and take to go. Will definitely keep going there.

ALWAYS our favorite stop when we're in Chico. The food is excellent! They expanded their dining area since we were in before our last visit, even including a gift shop area where you can get pre-packaged sushi. We're going to be in Chico next weekend, and we'll definitely be stopping in for some delicious sushi!
