We are from Alaska. We were on our return trip driving back to Alaska. It was early in the morning and we had just skirted our way around Reno to head toward Susanville all the while searching for a coffee stop. We saw a sign on 395 for Coffee Tree Express. excellent coffee friendly service.
This is the BEST coffee!!! If you’re around you have to stop by! I stop by each time I drive through there. The iced chai is amazing! The absolute best!

Coffee Tree Express is a cute little coffee shop. The woman who works there is friendly, and her coffee and blueberry muffins are top notch. The blueberry scone seemed to have Real blueberries in it and be home made. Service was great. Out back there are some pic-nic tables with a great view of mountains, sky, and watch trains go by. Everything was very clean and pleasant. There is a great selection of drinks. The most wonderful fresh roasted coffee smell greets customers. The coffee is one of the best ever tasted, and the fresh baked blueberry scone is the best ever had, so tender and warm and yummy. The Mocha Frappe has the most flavorful chocolate of any coffee shop, even Starbucks. The owner bakes the best blueberry muffins. It is all carbs, delicious delicious carbs. It is worth the 6 miles off the route from 395, and highly recommended to anyone in Vinton or the vicinity. Stop in and support a small business.
