He'll do back up vocals when you don't want him to. But booze is good and drinks are good. Great place for karaoke either way. Never had a bad drink or food from them. Try the fries they are amazing. “Great place to go and forget about everyday problems. Bar crowd immediately welcomes you in and there are no status symbols or titles. Everyone is treated equal. Better than going to a therapist. Drinks are memorable with Casey or Randy (Owner) slinging the beverages. The bonus is you can bring in your own food. Whether it be a bag of chips or a fancy meal no judgement is there. Service animals are welcome too. Life is normal here and definitely I will be coming back to find a new happy space.“

We were intrigued because it occupies the same space as Supatra's, a spot we used to frequent years ago before the change in ownership. We called ahead to make a reservation and were seated promptly within a minute of our arrival. My wife follows a gluten-free vegan diet, and Thai food has always been a reliable choice for her. She called in advance to ensure options were available, and the staff was accommodating. Our server, Paul, was outstanding. He went above and beyond to ensure the kitchen was informed about my wife's dietary needs, making the experience seamless and stress-free. Here's what we ordered: Tom Kha Soup: Excellent, bursting with rich and vibrant flavors. Summer Rolls: My wife loved them--fresh and perfectly prepared. Mango Mood drink: Another hit, beautifully balanced and refreshing. Wine: A familiar choice for my wife that paired well with the meal. String Beans and Eggplant: Very delicious, with bold and flavorful seasoning. Crying Tiger: Unfortunately, this dish didn't meet my expectations and is one we wouldn't recommend. Overall, the food was excellent, aside from the Crying Tiger, and the service was exceptional. Special thanks to Paul for his attentiveness and genuine kindness. “I have been eating at Mandarin Taste since I was 4 years old. Since when they used to have to polaroid pictures taped to the wall where you waited for your seat. Since the shopping center was a thriving place for business.
I have been gone from the area for years now, but I came home over the summer and after a shopping trip at Brea Mall, I craved some Szechwan beef and nostalgia. Upon walking in, we noticed some small changes. The polaroid pictures are gone (mines was up there!) but everything else was exactly the same. Including the staff. They have of course aged as we all have, but I remember them in their younger years. We ordered all our old favorites. The pu-pu platter, chow mein, fried rice, and Szechwan beef. All of it tasted exactly the way it did the last time we had it. The consistency of this place is insane and much appreciated. The service was good too. I don't have any issues with Mandarin Taste and we always had great food and a good time here over so many years. Graduations, births, birthdays, and job promotions. All celebrated here. It made me sad to see the shopping center as desolate as it was. In the 80's and 90's, it was a busy place and again, many memories being there. I'm glad to see that Mandarin Taste has been able to remain and among so much change, they have been able to stay the same. Thanks for the memories. Please support this restaurant. You won't be disappointed.“

A large assortment of flavorful IPAs and Ciders. They also handpicke flavors for their signature Mezcal straight from the distillery in Michoacàn, Mexico. They are kind to give you samples before you order a drink. I sampled the Ogopogo and it was very refreshing and citrus enriched flavor.The drink I order was the "spicy dead lady". This was a very delicious mezcal mixed drink. Smooth and refreshing with a delicious mixed of flavors. The portions are generous and the spicy bitters is definitely a zinger once it touches your taste buds. Overall a great drink to enjoy on a beautiful sunny day.“

“Came in on a Saturday at 2pm, service was quick, this is a Tapas bar so the plates are not big but very shareable. Buffalo trace on the old fashions and a nice little spot for an afternoon lunch with a juke box to play some good tunes. As a local I can appreciate a spot like this 💓“

This is a hidden gem of a steakhouse, featuring a wonderful selection of prime beef cuts, shareable sides, and desserts. The wine selection is noteworthy as well. The steaks and lamb chops received high praise from the table of 4, and the service staff was incredible, always there but never interrupting or intrusive. I highly recommend Porter's Prime Steakhouse and look forward to future visits when in the area.“
