“Great place to go and forget about everyday problems. Bar crowd immediately welcomes you in and there are no status symbols or titles. Everyone is treated equal. Better than going to a therapist. Drinks are memorable with Casey or Randy (Owner) slinging the beverages. The bonus is you can bring in your own food. Whether it be a bag of chips or a fancy meal no judgement is there. Service animals are welcome too. Life is normal here and definitely I will be coming back to find a new happy space.“

We were intrigued because it occupies the same space as Supatra's, a spot we used to frequent years ago before the change in ownership. We called ahead to make a reservation and were seated promptly within a minute of our arrival. My wife follows a gluten-free vegan diet, and Thai food has always been a reliable choice for her. She called in advance to ensure options were available, and the staff was accommodating. Our server, Paul, was outstanding. He went above and beyond to ensure the kitchen was informed about my wife's dietary needs, making the experience seamless and stress-free. Here's what we ordered: Tom Kha Soup: Excellent, bursting with rich and vibrant flavors. Summer Rolls: My wife loved them--fresh and perfectly prepared. Mango Mood drink: Another hit, beautifully balanced and refreshing. Wine: A familiar choice for my wife that paired well with the meal. String Beans and Eggplant: Very delicious, with bold and flavorful seasoning. Crying Tiger: Unfortunately, this dish didn't meet my expectations and is one we wouldn't recommend. “I have been eating at Mandarin Taste since I was 4 years old. Since when they used to have to polaroid pictures taped to the wall where you waited for your seat. Since the shopping center was a thriving place for business.
I have been gone from the area for years now, but I came home over the summer and after a shopping trip at Brea Mall, I craved some Szechwan beef and nostalgia. Upon walking in, we noticed some small changes. The polaroid pictures are gone (mines was up there!) but everything else was exactly the same. Including the staff. They have of course aged as we all have, but I remember them in their younger years. We ordered all our old favorites. The pu-pu platter, chow mein, fried rice, and Szechwan beef. All of it tasted exactly the way it did the last time we had it. The consistency of this place is insane and much appreciated. The service was good too. I don't have any issues with Mandarin Taste and we always had great food and a good time here over so many years. Graduations, births, birthdays, and job promotions. All celebrated here. It made me sad to see the shopping center as desolate as it was. In the 80's and 90's, it was a busy place and again, many memories being there. I'm glad to see that Mandarin Taste has been able to remain and among so much change, they have been able to stay the same. Thanks for the memories. Please support this restaurant. You won't be disappointed.“

The service is what really gets me. It's not that our waiter was nice, friendly and helpful, but that everyone there is like that from the hostess to the servers. Good service there isn't a isolated to an individual, but it's a culture and it's greatly appreciated.“

A large assortment of flavorful IPAs and Ciders. They also handpicke flavors for their signature Mezcal straight from the distillery in Michoacàn, Mexico. They are kind to give you samples before you order a drink. I sampled the Ogopogo and it was very refreshing and citrus enriched flavor.The drink I order was the "spicy dead lady". This was a very delicious mezcal mixed drink. Smooth and refreshing with a delicious mixed of flavors. The portions are generous and the spicy bitters is definitely a zinger once it touches your taste buds. Overall a great drink to enjoy on a beautiful sunny day.“

“This was my first time going to Dog Haus and it was a great Friday night! They have quite an extensive menu of beers and dogs/sausages. They also had a whole breakfast burrito menu and sides such as tots, fries, and onion rings. If you're not into beer they also have cocktails available. The set up is you order at the bar as soon as you walk in and then they bring it out to your table. I got the downtown dog, a blonde beer, and an order of the chili tots with cole slaw on top. It was all very tasty and the perfect salty bar food to go with my beer. Later on in the night I also got a strawberry vodka drink that was very tasty. My hot dog was a take on LA street dogs. The bun was soft and the dog was juicy. It had bacon bits, Ketchup, mustard, mayo, peppers, and onions. The space itself has a variety of seating options including long communal tables which is great if you're wanting to gather with a lot of people. The ordering at the bar makes it convenient to not have to split tabs at the end of a meal. All the ppl working were friendly and helpful when I had questions about the beers and menu. The outdoor patio was great and has corn hole, a oversized connect 4, and TVs for game day viewing. They also had very reasonable prices! I saw a couple of parents with their kids, a group of guys gathering , and a couple on a date. It's a very versatile space. They even had space heaters for the patio! I will definitely be back as they had so many menu items I wanted to try!

Side note I found out that they are under new ownership. I didn't have anything but a great experience.“

“Pulled up right after work. I'm 26, was just checking out the scene. It's very mixed with old soul and new. A lot of men when I pulled up so guess that's just Thursday night football. Ordered Pacifico ON TAP, was amazing. No Guinness. But plenty of mixed drinks. Kitchen was closed today so didn't try any food. Waitresses are very fine, but I'm a gentleman. I took some time to look around. They offer outside patio with fireplace and inside bar seating. The parking for the spot was low-key a mission, if it's busy good luck. Parking is like a block away but not far. It's pretty cool, just don't drink and drive since the PD is on the same block as parking lol. I'd come back with my friends or for a nice meet up spot.“
