This place is middle of the road mediocre. Nothing special. Not great. Chicken was dry, shrimp was good, fried rice was plain. No veggies in it. Very meh. Prices were not cheap either.
This is the same food truck located in Golden Hill.

First of all no sitting at all and They won't take cash because they don't have change. Since a had to drive 18 min by the time I got home the meat obviously keeps cooking not to my liking anymore. Rice was good and shrimp cooked right, chicken was just ok. For the price, it's better enjoy an evening at a full service restaurant for sure. I probably will not be back or recommend to any of my friends.

Hibachi Kings is a popular restaurant that offers a fun and entertaining dining experience. Customers often praise the food, especially the steak, shrimp, and chicken plate, along with the tasty sauces like yum yum sauce. Many customers have enjoyed the food truck as well, showing consistent satisfaction with the quality of the meals. The restaurant is known for hosting great parties, with smooth booking, setup, and food service that make events easy and enjoyable.
However, some feel that the portions could be larger for the price paid, and the pricing is sometimes seen as a point of contention. Service has been described as inconsistent, and reaching the restaurant by phone can be difficult. Despite these issues, many guests are excited to return, especially after trying popular dishes like the 3 meat plate with filet mignon, chicken, and shrimp over fried rice, or the steak and lobster plate over white rice. Overall, Hibachi Kings remains a favorite for those looking for delicious food and a lively atmosphere.
