This was my first visit and it instantly made a strong impression. The tripe and tongue tacos were incredibly flavorful and easily among the best I have enjoyed in a long time. I came with coworkers and everyone had a great time, which made the experience even better. The menudo soup was rich and comforting, adding to an already satisfying meal.

I tried the tripe tacos plus tongue tacos during my first visit with coworkers, honestly the flavor blew me away. These were easily the best tacos I have enjoyed in many years. The menudo soup tasted rich, comforting, plus perfectly seasoned. The overall experience felt warm, authentic, plus memorable. I would happily return to this spot anytime.

This is a good taco place, and not your regular taco place, service is very good. They have a bar, Thursdays they have karaoke, and every other day live music. Not the best tacos but pretty decent.

Wife and I got 2 asada burros and 2 drinks. They were delicious. But, $54 good? Absolutely not. The place was super clean and the staff was awesome though. Will I go back? No. You can get a better burro from any number of places in the area for a fraction of the price.

Terrible customer service, the guy that took my order was super rude and not welcoming. Disappointing I continue to give this place a chance despite the bad customer service. Will not be going here anymore. Train your staff to treat all customers with respect.

Was looking for a good taco at night and came upon this gem, they close at 1am and some days at 3am, some days they also have live music.
Best of all menu is awesome and food is really good!

Great food, authentic street tacos. A good option in a very competitive area for street tacos.

This was my first visit & though tacos are now averaging $5 in San Diego, these are delicious & filling. They are served with 4 salsas (salsa fresca was my favorite), a side of roasted peppers & onions. I had some consome & 3 tacos: Protein adobada & 1 suero & 1 crisoy tripas. So tasty. Stop in on tacos Tuesday $3,00 and evenings you can get all sorts of treats like corn & stuffed potatoes. Well worth the trip & the service was excellent.

I know a lot of people on here complain about anything but I can’t hate this spot , minus the blue lives matter flag. They serve amazing tacos and the servers are really sweet and helpful especially with helping with my Spanish! TIL next time friends :)

This place has gone completely downhill. I remember when Las Ahumaderas used to be decent — I ate here years ago and had no issues. Unfortunately, that is no longer the case at all. I came back on a Tuesday night recently simply because it was one of the few places still open, and I honestly regret the decision.

The parking lot was packed but not in a good way. The environment felt unsafe the moment I arrived. Before I could even order food, a group of people tried to start problems with me — clearly drunk and aggressive. It was uncomfortable enough that I didn’t even feel like staying inside. To make matters worse, there were people openly offering drugs in the restroom area. That alone should tell management everything they need to know about the condition of this place.

Instead of being a casual taco stop, it felt more like a scene out of a bad bar. There was no sense of control, security, or safety at all. I left without ordering because my safety mattered more than waiting around for food.

I would NOT recommend this location to anyone — especially families or anyone looking for a normal dining experience. This is hands down one of the worst dining situations I’ve encountered in years. Something seriously needs to change here because in its current state, this place should not be open to the public.

Food quality and quantity is outstanding. Also its always consistent. If your not big on Hot salsa, I recommend to ask for no salsa on your orders because all food items automatically come with hot salsa.
