The House of Cuban is a bakery and traditional Cuban food. I used to order the oxtail which was on the menu, but it's no longer being offered. I've tried the sandwich, ropa vieja, and arroz con pollo which are all delicious. I'm glad there's a Cuban bakery by the border because I used to drive to Point Loma for the nearest Cuban food. I recommend The House of Cuban Flavor if you're looking for traditional and authentic Cuban Food.
This restaurant exceeded expectations with its excellent food and service. Upon entering, the environment felt inviting and well-maintained. Staff members greeted guests warmly and showed great attentiveness throughout the meal. The menu offered something for everyone, with dishes thoughtfully prepared and full of flavor. As a vegetarian, there are a few options. I recommend the potato balls stuffed with jalapeño & cheese and the spinach & cheese empanadas. They are so delicious! For dessert, we have tried the guava & cheese pastry which is so good. This is hard to find anywhere else so I’m happy I found a place in SD! I always make it a point to stop whenever I’m in the neighborhood.
