I had just gotten into town with my husband for his birthday and was looking for somewhere to grab a late night drink. I called this bar at 1030pm and asked them how late they would be open that night, and the bartender said she would be open until 1:30AM. We arrived by 1045 at the latest (it was a 6 minute car ride), and walked into the bar, all eyes on us. There were about 7 Hispanics sitting at the bar. Cool. I'm not a hateful person. But they all stopped talking and just stared at us rudely as we walked in and sat at the bar. The bartender, whom I had JUST spoken on the phone with less than 20 minutes ago, walked into the back, got another woman, and she came up to my husband and I, didnt even say hi or any kind of greeting, and promptly told us we would be only able to have one drink and then would have to leave because they are closing. I'm a bartender. I get that things change. But how do you go from a 130 close time to an 11 close time within 20 minutes?? Neither that woman nor the bartender had any logical reason for why I was told 130 on the phone and now all of a sudden they are closing. Whatever. We got our one beer, sat and drank it, and watched the bartender proceed to give the people at the end of the bar numerous drinks and no talk of closing the entire time. So basically, dont go here if you're white and want decent service, or more than one beer ???
