This is a cute little café in Southwest Chula Vista. I learned about it via Groupon. The reviews & photos were very good, so we tried it. The area it's located in is a little sketchy, and from the outside you can't see its charm. It's very small and there were no sit-down customers when we arrived, so I was worried. The menus need to be remade; the pages are starting to peel and need to be wiped down. But the descriptions of the dishes were well-worded and everything sounded delicious. I ordered the D'Amour Avocado Toast and hubby ordered Chicken Enchiladas w/Molé & 2 eggs on the side. Hubby got the Mexican Mocha & I ordered a Latte w/oat milk. The place was nearly filled by the time our meals arrived, so my worries were gone. Everything was delicious! I loved the basil vinaigrette that is drizzled over the avocado toast (as well as many of their dishes) & the arugula salad. Hubby was very pleasantly surprised at how good his Mexican Mocha was, and I loved my latte as well. When leaving, I asked hubby if he would want to return to Rose D'Amour. He immediately said yes, so I bought two more Groupons. I would go without a Groupon, but since I was able to purchase two more, it was a bonus!

I had an interesting experience here, the FOH team were super nice! But I don't think they understand my order, I felt bad correcting them a second time so I just stuck with it.But I ordered a quad shot on ice with oat milk and was charged 10.00 which is pretty high for one drink but hey I'll try it.I received a horchata drink which I didn't order, and they kind of fixed it. I somewhat got the correct drink but they still added horchata that I didn't order , and one of the girls kept telling me I did.I felt awkward so I just excepted it, I saw my ticket and they said my name was Kenneth and I was charged a horchata drink. Cute spot but I don't know if I'll be back since it was an awkward experience ?

Cute "hole in the wall" place. Drive slow or you might miss it, however looking up the place prior to coming and seeing the pink building definitely helped. Only ordered a couple of coffees (lavender latte and toffee nut latte) but they were both amazing! They also gave us some free coconut cookies to pair with our coffees, which was a nice touch. Would definitely come back to try their food. It got pretty busy, which is a good sign!

Came here on a Friday morning at 11:55am, it was not busy at all. However, I Waited in line for a long time, and was not greeted or acknowledged, so I left without getting anything. The ambiance was cute, but definitely small and compact. The food look good, but I did not wait to try because the service from the start was garbage. I'll come back another day and hopefully they can step it up then. A smile and acknowledgment to your customers goes a long way. 1 star for today, hopefully that we'll change next time I come back

***Remember*** its small. You'll have to wait for your food. You want it fast, go to jack. You live in a city with millions of people.Food anywhere is not perfect everytime. They can mess up on a order, so what it happens. Go somewhere else, I do.Food prep is good you can see by the picture people leave. Lots of selections here for you to choose. Good for early in the morning.Overall NICE PLACE

Initially I discovered this spot on Groupon as a newer business that peaked my interest. At the time they actually had a different name. They were once called Dolce Cafe, and apparently the partners had split, so the name was changed here. Dolce cafe still exists, though now at a different location in Chula Vista. (Been there too) They prepare a very good cafe de olla here, with cinnamon and piloncillo(basically brown sugar. The last time it was way too sweet, and I even let them know and asked for drip coffee to top it off. Portions are not large but adequate. Flavors are very good from the items I've ordered. The place tends to draw nicer dressed locals, and even those who just pop in for coffee or espresso beverages. The location itself is a little odd, with a really steep downhill parking lot adjacent to a Burger King. It is also pretty cramped inside with small tables and chairs, though they have an expanded patio area outside. I have had chilaquiles, breakfast platters and sandwiches and was never disappointed. One thing to note however, the service and wait times might challenge you. So on our last visit, it was 15 minutes to order and 20 minutes more for our plates to arrive. I typically would have the patience for this but since it is practically 30 minutes from home I tend to get hangry..

This place is so cute. As soon as you walk in, you get a great vibe and the energy from the staff was refreshing. They offer a good variety of unique food and drink options,, like a Mazapan latte and Mazapan crepes. I appreciate small businesses who make themselves standout by making their own thumbprint and doing things outside of the norm. The Huevos Rancheros, Mazapan crepes and all the pastries we took home were on point too. All of the staff were very helpful and patient when we asked questions, especially being that it was our first time there. Definitely will make the drive to go there again.
