They must have a new owner. The food was GROSS. I have loved this place for years but haven’t been in a while because I moved. The food was disgusting!! I ordered the falafel plate and the falafel were tiny and light colored. Didn’t come with tabula like usual, but a nasty wilted salad. The pita was dry and the hummus was okay but covered in clear oil, not olive oil. They also wouldn’t give me a glass of water in this 100 degree heat which was bizarre. I haven’t seen the people working there before so it must be new ownership? AND they didn’t have the chicken shank on the menu anymore.

How does this restaurant have 4.5 stars on Google. It’s awful! I ordered the falafel platter and the falafel had obviously been prepared days before and just thrown onto a deep-fryer upon my ordering. The hummus must have been scooped out of some bowl in the fridge, it was cold, utterly flavorless and spread across the plate with no olive oil. The bread? Store-bought and tasting of cardboard. I was the only customer when I arrived at noon and the only customer when I left. The only person I saw working there spent the entire time screaming and laughing into a phone. It took her five minutes to find a bottle opener for my like-warm soft drink. The worst restaurant I’ve been to in all of Sacramento.

I ordered a special platter but unfortunately it wasn’t what I was expecting. It used to have full pieces of everything. In today’s pick up chicken tikka, nuts on the rice and few pieces of beef seekh and chicken seekh kabob were missing. I wont recommend this pace for anyone.

I use to love this place! Recently stopped by and the woman who was working was yelling at someone on the phone and didn’t even acknowledge that I was standing at the counter. I ordered Kabbobs and I literally seen her remove the kabbobs from the skewer with her hands! No gloves or anything, granted, she was also holding her phone at the same time. But wait, it gets worse, she gave me flour tortillas instead of the pita bread! I’m so disappointed

Food was good the beef shawerma was full of meat unlike other places they fill it up with latus. Love it

I always pass by this restaurant and I go to the convenience store next to it to buy lotto never been there but I decide to try today and surprisingly the food is really tasty. I would recommend to anybody go and try it. They ran out of beef, I will try beef Shawarma next time.

I recently dined at the Mediterranean Family Restaurant in Citrus Heights and we had a pleasant experience overall. The staff were very friendly and welcoming, making us feel right at home.The food was good and had a nice authentic Mediterranean flavor to it. However, we did find that the rice served with our dishes was a little hard. Aside from that, everything else we ordered was delicious and satisfying.The service was excellent, with our server being attentive and accommodating to our needs. Overall, we had a great time dining at this establishment and would definitely consider returning in the future. It's a nice family-owned spot that serves up some tasty Mediterranean food. I'd recommend giving it a try.

Delicious soup. And I don't really like soups.
Lovely lady behind the counter. Don't expect a fancy restaurant. Do expect great food.
