The food was not as good as it usually is. The fried rice was over cooked and chicken in the Ginger Chucken was really tough. The pieces of Ginger were old and tough

Splurged on a meal here for the first time and got a really good dinner and a funny show. The staff dealt with a rude customer who wanted a refund, they were scared of the food haha. Meanwhile they were making sure we were ok. The food was great and would definitely come back again. Thanks for a great time temple garden!!

We tried here for the first time tonight and the food was very good. We really enjoyed the won ton soup , pot stickers and the orange chicken. While we were here a customer came in to complain about their food and that they spent $100 on and to demand a refund . The customer complaining called the worker very rude names and didn’t bring in their entire order. The worker handled it very professionally offering to remake some of the food. We had overlapping meals with this customer and completely disagree with their assessments of the food. We plan on retuning to splurge on some different entrees. Thanks to the staff for making this a great experience.

I spent over $100.00 for a to go order that consisted of sesame chicken, honey walnut shrimp, chow mein, fried rice, wonton soup, and an appetizer plate That included 4 fried shrimp, 4 eggrolls, 4 foil wrapped chicken, and fried wontons, and a side order of pit stickers. The potstickers were burnt, the fried shrimp and egg rolls were over cooked, fried rice had so much soy sauce that we could not eat it, the shrimp from the honey walnut shrimp was very bland. We went back to the restaurant, asked for a refund and explained why. They refused to give us a refund. Their only offer was to remake the fried rice with less soy sauce. She explained that they were a small business and couldn't afford to refund us the money. I explained to her that I too am on a limited budget and this meal was a splurge for us. She still refused. I would highly recommend that you do not eat at this restaurant! Awful food, awful service, not customer service friendly. Be prepared to waste your money.

I absolutely loved this place! The staff was so friendly and welcoming, which made the experience even better. The food was incredibly delicious—exactly what you want when you’re craving classic Chinese comfort food. Every dish was flavorful, fresh, and satisfying. I’ll definitely be coming back!

We’ve eat at the Temple Garden about 6 times the last few months and this place is a gem. The food is outstanding and prices are very reasonable. Portions are huge, enough for lunch the next day. This is the best Chinese food in the Sacramento area!

Perfect wonton soup
Temple Garden knows vegan options!! They just don't lay it all out on the menu unfortunately. I've had General's Tofu (my fav), Orange Tofu, and Salt & Pepper Tofu here by request... all delicious and reasonably priced for the portion size. Fried rice without egg? No problem. Veggie chow mein with no oyster sauce? No problem. The eggplant dish is also terrific and the ma po tofu has a kick. Spring rolls are already vegan by default. Just specify vegan when you order and they will take care of the rest.
