Kalaveras - City of Industry

The decorations and lights were pretty cool. However, this place was FILTHY. Maybe it's because I worked with health inspectors, but there was food splatter on all the booths. We ordered a guacamole and chips appetizer and our plate was STUCK to the table. The whole seating and table was extremely sticky!! Easily cleaned with decreased or any cleaning solvent. We had to use napkins all over our table just to put our plates on. We were trying to be respectful but were super grossed out. Me and my husband grit our teeth and gave the food and drinks a chance.

I got enchiladas Verdes and he got the red enchiladas with barbacoa. Came with beans and rice. Was pretty good despite the dirty environment. Our napkins even stuck to the table. *shudder* I ordered a strawberry margarita and it was good..though I kept questioning how dirty the cup was. Not trying to be rude, but if the table os that dirty and sticky, what else didn't they clean?

Unfortunately, we won't be coming back. Food was 5/10. Service was 6/10. Cleanliness 0/10. Not bad of a place but we need a shower now.

The only reason why I give up my three star in the main reason that I eat at that restaurant is for the Menudo they're always out when you go for a buffet you shouldn't have to ask the waiter to refill the menudo other than that the menudo is excellent

Kalavares is not worth the money, and their food they served me gave me the runs.

We went in for Happy Hour and waited 45 minutes for tacos and taquitos. We were not given chips. Very disappointing!!! The waiter told us next time will be better???

I had a really great experience at Kalaveras. From the moment we walked in, all of the employees were so nice and welcoming, which set the tone right away. Jesus was our server and he truly stood out—he was professional, attentive, and very friendly, and made sure we were taken care of the entire time. His hospitality really made the experience feel special.

The food and drinks were both really good—everything came out fresh, flavorful, and just as expected. Overall, the service, atmosphere, and quality of everything made it such an enjoyable visit. I’ll definitely be coming back!

I’m really disappointed. I’ve gone with my family twice for Sunday brunch, and both times there was barely any food available. It made me wonder what was going on were they short-staffed? To make it worse, one of those Sundays wasn’t even that busy, so it was surprising to see things so unprepared. So sad!!!!!! Seems that they don't have a manager to check what's going on...

We arrived around 1:20 pm for brunch. The food looked dry, and the trays were messy. I tried menudo, but it wasn’t great. I recommend the barbacoa and carnitas tacos. The dessert menu had a few options. By the end, the place was disappointing, but the staff was attentive. Lastly, the restrooms were not very clean

Please save yourself the headache and DO NOT COME HERE. I can’t begin with the amount of mistakes. I’ve never been stereotyped at a restaurant but today was the day.
1. They charged me before my food even came out
2. They thought I was going to run off because I asked to sit outside. (Came by myself party of 1-self date 30 year old female/nurse) dressed formal-professional.
3. I ordered potato taquitos they gave me chicken.
4. They never gave me utensils
5. They up-charged me for my drink because they said they had to make it specially although I asked the waiter if they have the drink and he said YES.
6. The waiter was keeping my card I had to ask him for my card back and the receipt.
7. The manager “Ana” was arguing with me when I told her my concerns

Please save yourself the headache and don’t come here or go to another location.
I’ve been here probably 8 times since I live very close by, I ALWAYS SIT OUTSIDE!!!!! Always! And I have never been charged before my food was even out- Ana the manager even said it’s “new policy” since when? Yesterday!? They completely stereotyped me and thought I was going to walk out because I asked to sit outside.
Horrible customer service I really think they need to get re trained.

We went yesterday to this Restaurant. My husband got a aguachiles that were really disgusting. I got a salmon and it was ok. Then we asked for Buchanans whiskey with pineapple juice and mineral water. She gave us the drink with the pineapple juice and the mineral water first and it tasted like onions. And a carne asada burrito to go, also really disgusting. Then she gave us supposedly the whiskey and it was something else. We didn't pay attention to the bill until we got home because she never told us it was 50dls each drink that we never ordered. I called the restaurant and they said that she was going to call me back in 30mins to let me know if we can get a refund and she didn't call back. Then I called back after 6 hours and she said that they still don't have an answer, and that they will call me back around 3 days after. I never post anything like this but I just don't wish any other people to go there because they are supposed to serve you what you asked for and also let you know the price of the drink that I didn't ordered. Hope this helps other people.

Sorry but the food was trash and the girl took 5 business days to bring us our check and take our card. It was empty when we went. We paid 100$ for just the 2 of us. Never coming back sorry

Food was good and drinks were enjoyable.
Service was really slow because 1 server was waiting on 10 tables. The server was friendly and very apologetic due to the slow service. Management needs to resolve this provide more staff/support.

Trendy looking decor. Descent food, not great but good enough. Service was good and prices were ok. $240 + tip for party of 4 adults. 1 Entre each and 2 alcoholic drinks each

Was there kind of late so it was empty. There was also an obnoxious drunk young man at the bar. Service was good and bartender handled the drunk man very well.
