It can get pretty busy here! I like their bone broth and they have a lot of ingredients to choose from. This is one of the rare places that offer baby corn. I like to pay in cash and get their Hawthorne drink or green tea.
Honestly I don’t think the bone broth is made in house and probably a combo of a lot of ingredients but it’s nice to indulge sometimes. There are plenty of fresh and frozen ingredients that are not processed foods like fish balls to choose from...

My second time trying malatang. This place was pretty spacious in the same plaza as Starbucks. Plenty of parking, and easy to find. The staff were quite nice! When you go in, you grab what you want first and you bring it to the staff member at the front. There you choose what broth and your bowl gets weighed. You don’t pay until the end, which I don’t understand.

The beef bone soup base is rather bland and different from the classic malatang because it’s definitely not spicy enough. The ingredients are fresh but there aren’t many choices to choose from, the sauce section is clean and tidy but again, not a lot of options. It’s good enough to be a lunch spot tho.
