The kindest and most interesting vintner I have ever met. So generous with his time and he has several lovely old-vine Zins (we bought two). Don't miss a visit with Paolo Pastori-Ng at Pastori Wines just a few minutes out of Geyserville in Sonoma County. Not fancy, just down-to-earth, which is exactly what you want when you're seeking the best wines. Thank you Paolo for the wine tasting, and all the best to you and your family.
Their Old Vine Zinfandel is the best I've ever had, and that's saying A LOT! Speaking of lots, the property is gorgeous.
I was able to get up to Geyserville last year and even though it was a grey, cold, wet day I truly enjoyed my time. Low key, not fancy or pretentious, under the radar wine and winemaking that punches above its weight is Pastori Winery.
