“I'd give Bobdog Wines 11 stars if I could. First, it's a gorgeous place... about 2000 feet above the floor of the Alexander Valley, the highest winery by elevation in Sonoma County. Second, Tim, the owner, carved out two hours for my wife and me during harvest/crush week, a generous accommodation beyond measure. He gave us the ultimate, consummate and fun lesson in tasting red wines. We will never, ever forget Tim or our experience at Bobdog Wines.“
“Paolo and I are long time friends and when I heard he was taking over and revamping his grand father's winery/ vineyard like a phoenix rising from the ashes I was beyond excited!
I was able to get up to Geyserville last year and even though it was a grey, cold, wet day I truly enjoyed my time. Low key, not fancy or pretentious, under the radar wine and winemaking that punches above its weight is Pastori Winery.
Not only did we get to catch up on life, but he was also so genuine and passionate about wine and viticulture in general. He let me sample the grapes at different stages and straight from the barrel (I'm looking at you Del Dotto). Learning more about the wine making process, the story behind his label and his families history in the wine industry/ Alexander Valley was fascinating to me.
The wine itself is superb and like I mentioned earlier, punches above its own weight. The Old Vine Zin I tried in the tasting room was so fruity, non-tannic and absolutely delicious! Pair it with just about anything, pizza, pasta, fruit, nuts or cheese. It's a solid everyday/ easy drinking wine. Their Centurion Old Vine Zin (made from grapes grown on 100 year old vines) is a bolder, more robust variety of their Old Vine Zin. It pairs better with rich heavy foods like steak, beef stew and BBQ.
Overall I highly reccommend making the trek out and giving Pastori Winery a try. It may just become your new favorite!“
“Asti Winery is the most beautiful winery I have ever been to. My dad's worked there for 40+ years so I pretty much grew up there. It's not open to the public, so good luck getting in. If some how you do, you will not be disappointed.“
“Beautiful views, great wine, and a wonderful team of knowledge hosts. Also a fantastic option to plan a rehearsal dinner or private dining celebration.“
“What a great visit. Dennis was such a great host showing us the property and a little excursion to the vineyard. Enjoyed their Pinots, Cab and Primitivo. Luckily it was father's day so I could justify my purchases. Oh, make sure you taste their olive 🫒 oil and buy some. Cheers! I will be back.“
“We had a fantastic tasting with Josef today. The Chardonnay, Pinots, and Zinfandels were all SO enjoyable and the setting couldn’t be more perfect. The view, service, wine, and charcuterie all made for an unforgettable experience… thank you!!! p.s. Josef, we checked out Jason & the Scorchers— those guys rock!“
“Such a beautiful winery I do wine tours and have visited many times and clients love Bella“
“Amazing staff, service, wines and beautiful views!“
“Such a relaxing environment and amazing wines“
“Wonderful winery in Sonoma“
“This visit was bittersweet. Our first visit to this winery was in 1988. Lots of good memories. Now they are being bought so the tasting room will be closed. So sad. Michaela poured their wonderful wine for us and we talked about their long history. We will miss you all.“
“In Healdsburg for the weekend and so thankful we stopped at Kokomo for a tasting. To begin, tasting was delicious (we aren’t huge white wine drinkers but were shocked by how much we enjoyed the Chardonnay…we left with a bottle of Chardonnay as well as a Cab, and were impressed with the quality of everything we tried). But also the Kokomo team was incredibly friendly, authentic, and attentive, and made our experience feel one of a kind - sitting outside on the patio we brought sandwiches and ate while enjoying the tasting - so uniquely casual and inviting. It was my wife’s birthday and we were even greeted with birthday wishes and a special table setting. A perfect blend of top quality wines with a relaxed setting - a highlight of our trip and highly recommend. Hope to return soon!“
“I use to go every couple/ few months to pick up my wine club wine and try new wines. I always leave with some new fun great wines; but because of CoVid we didn’t go. Today I went to pick up my wine club wines(4 sets). They are holding wine tasting outside, doing social distancing and it was fun.... I encourage everyone to check out Locals if they’re in the area. There are a couple great local restaurants in town so make a day of it. The staff is fabulous!!!!“
“We’ve been members at Talty Winery for over 10 years, and there’s a reason we keep coming back. 🍷 This place is more than a winery—it’s a home away from home. Michael, the owner and winemaker, makes every visit feel personal. His passion for Zinfandel shines through not only in the wine (which is consistently incredible), but in the warmth and hospitality he shows to every guest. The Zins are some of our all-time favorites, and sharing a glass with Michael always feels like catching up with an old friend. Talty isn’t just a stop on the wine trail—it’s a tradition for us. ♥️“
“Dave makes great wines has some bold flavors as well as straight varietals! I particularly enjoy his Grenache blend and Dave’s Cuvee! The tasting room is complimented by the beautiful location in the Dry Creek Valley.
Seriously: forget the Napa Valley. You won’t find better wines in California!“
“My wife and I stopped in on Saturday, not expecting a totally fantastic wine experience in the lovely little town of Geyserville. The brothers knew their wines, knew the palate, got my wife to drink a Syrah, and got to meet the puppy! Looking forward to when the weather is nice and the awesome outdoor space comes alive.
I regret that they only have 5 stars, would have given 10. Great spot, great people, had a great time.

“Loved, loved, loved our recent experience at Frick Winery. Nothing beats getting to listen to and learn from the individual who farms the land and makes the wine. We visited 20+ years ago, always wanted to come back and are so glad we did. Bill Frick was friendly and fascinating then, and nothing’s changed. If you’re in the Healdsburg area, you’ll really appreciate meeting Bill and tasting his wonderful wines.“
“Great wine and great name. Good job family!’“
“If you prefer an intimate wine tasting experience instead of a snooty over-priced experience, you must go here! Fred cares a lot about his wines and making sure people enjoy drinking what he has to offer. We had a large group do the wine and charcuterie tasting and it was plentiful in quantity and quality while not being overpriced at all!“
“My husband and I just ended our second time staying at The Inn at Le Vin, both visits were a week each. There are many things we enjoy about this VRBO, first, the owners Eric and Holly are amazing people who give you your privacy as well as letting you taste their incredible wine, olives and olive oil. The setting/location of the VRBO is breath taking! 7 Miles off Hwy 128, just outside of Yorkville but close to Geyserville and Healdsburg, 1 mile up a dirt road. The loudest noise you hear at night are the crickets.!! You also get to enjoy a pool, hot tub, and steam room!! We have been traveling to wine country for 10 years and enjoy this VRBO for all of the above as well as the reasonable price. We would highly recommend The Inn at Le Vin to anyone looking for a place to stay that is unique and beautiful. We will definitely be back!!Mike/KrisAlberta, Canada“
“I had an incredible wine-tasting experience at Amphora! The owner and staff are warm, welcoming, knowledgeable, and have a great sense of humor, making the visit even more enjoyable. They kicked off the tasting with a lovely welcome reception, starting with a glass of elegant rosé that set the perfect tone. The wines are absolutely delicious, and they pour generously. They also offer tasty snacks—like local cheese, nuts, and crackers—that perfectly complement their wines. If you have the chance, don’t miss their annual barrel tasting event—it’s a rare opportunity to sample wines straight from the barrel as well as those aged in bottles for 7 different wines, making for an exceptional bonus tasting experience. And to top it all off, their winery dog, Birdy, is the sweetest, smartest, and friendliest companion you could ask for during your visit!“
“Never heard of this winery! It was complimentary tastings for party of a wine road event. Wines were good! Especially for the price point. Christine was great! They have a large picnic area right outside. You taste in part of a cave so it is on the cooler side. You might need a sweater in colder months. Please visit them if you're within range!“
“fed goats and had great wine. what else can you ask for in life? sat by the creek for our tasting. great som's and wonderful, peaceful setting. recommend to anyone who is debating which 4.5+ star winery to visit- this place is perfect for animal lovers!“
“Thank you so much. we loved both the food and the service.“
“Marie was our hostess and was such a treat. She loved sharing the stories of the family business. It was a wonderful afternoon. She made the tasting just that much better.“
“We had an lovely seated tasting with Mary. We were walk-ins and brought a picnic lunch and sat in a scenic area overlooking the vineyard. Mary was so warm and hospitable. Very comfortable and down to earth atmosphere.
It was one of the best settings and wine selections from our visit to the Sonoma area. Also we'll priced! We will visit again the next time we're in Healdsburg!“
“Brought some friends from the east coast to experience Rancho Maria Wines and had such an amazing time in the Wine Garden! Started with a tasting of the delicious reds thanks to recs from Val, who was equally as outstanding and friendly! Ended up getting glasses of the Full Montie, Stella, and the Petite Syrah…while leaving with a bottle as well! Such a fun time and superior friendly service! Shout out to Val for creating a pressure free but highly informative experience that made our day…give that woman a raise!!! Can’t wait to come back again REAL soon. ? Rancho Maria Wines feature smooth drinking, character filled, and tasty wine options with a focus on Syrah and Zin fruit…but also have an incredibly balanced and bright Chardonnay option for white wine lovers!“
“We came for a joint birthday tasting. The server was very attentive and friendly. While we did stay for several hours we were continuing to order items. Unfortunately, the ( we believe) manager started rushing us first by taking our menus, then empty glasses and finally basically demanding payment. As we were leaving we were near the restrooms next to the offices we heard him disparaging us to the waiter. To bad made us question if we will be back or recommend.“
“Outstanding experience! We upgraded to sitting outside under a pergola. It was well worth the experience. We had our own private shaded area, with seating for eight and gorgeous views. They also had some very nice wine offerings which was a real plus! It’s not very often you get both. Would definitely return!“

“Bill Gordon is among the best people and the best winemakers we have ever met. We have been around the world pursuing good wine and this is as good as it gets. His wines rival bottles that are quadruple the price. They are balanced while still being exciting and full of character and the value is unreal. Visiting his tasting room is like sitting down with a good friend and we cannot wait to get back. This is one you shouldn't miss.“
