“It was great, smaller and less formal (more comfortable for me anyway,) than others but I feel like the food is better, there’s Way More food: much more of the teppanyaki + soup & salad - drinks extra of course. We went for my daughter’s bday & they gave her ice cream with a candle in it and sang Happy Birthday.A very nice evening.“
“The food was great for the price, considering that at most teppanyaki restaurants you can essentially get the same meal for 25$. The bowls are only 13-15$, and whilst the bowls didn't have the same vegetables that most teppanyaki restaurants have it was worth losing the vegetables for the price. Their sandwiches namely the chicken teriyaki Sandwich was good however the amount of sauce they use isn't as much as I was hoping for, if you try it I would suggest adding extra teriyaki and less mayo if you want to. Service was good, the people were nice but the food took a long time to come out, I would suggest calling ahead, however even if you call ahead expect a longer wait inside as well. I also tried their Thai tea boba, the tea is like you would find anywhere else however the boba isn't the greatest, I found it solid instead of chewy sometimes, however it isn't a boba shop so I'm not expecting high quality. Overall for the price the place is great and would totally recommend just make sure you have plenty of time to wait.“
“Absolutely. Amazing!!! Amazing staff made the entire night so wonderful and entertaining! The food was phenomenal! Everyone at our table was practically crying with pure love and joy from how amazing the food was. The atmosphere was so family friendly, and had beautiful architecture. Definitely would come again and would recommend to a friend even a picky friend!“
“Awesome place for Tepenyaki and great cocktails as well! I love that it's a no reservation restaurant, it makes for available seating all the time as opposed to similar restaurants in the Fresno area. Great food!! Don't pass up the scallops!“
“Never noticed this restuarant until the other week. Decided it was time to give it a shot and the shot returned with flying colors. Any review that says the food was bad, definitely tripping. Walked in, was greeted by a chef that immediately welcomed new guests to the establishment and offered great recommendations for sushi and plates. You cannot go wrong on the lava cake roll, sushiyaki special roll, and dragon roll! Don't forget that New York steak with bacon fried rice plate. Definitely impressed by how tender and well seasoned them tiny thin cuts were. Total was shy under $60 for all that for two. Can't beat that for 2024 prices. Hope this helps new faces check out a fantastic hole in the wall restaurant.“
“We purposely drive an hour away to just eat here. We love the tepanaki but this last time we didn't enjoy it as much as the last time. The chef who cooked for us did tell us that they had a lot of call offs so he was a sushi chef cooking for us. We love the fried rice but this time it was super dry like he let it cook for too long. But overall the meal was enjoyable. We were a group of 2 adults and 5 kids including a 1 year old who disliked seeing fire.“
“Had a good dining experience here. Friendly staff and an impressive sushi menu. The prices are pretty reasonable and the quantity per item is just enough for one. The spicy edamame was a good choice for the appetizer. Their fried sushi rolls are awesome. Had a tough time deciding what to order. Gotta go back.“
“Was craving some bacon fried rice the other day, so we decided on Spicy Mayo Hibachi, as I'd heard good stuff about them. They're out in front of the ALDI on West Shaw. You order at the counter, then they had about ten tables for eating in. The hubby and I wanted to try it all, so we both ordered the trio (not on the menu, but it had chicken, shrimp and NY steak). $21 for each plate. Food didn't take long to be prepared. Small, but nice clean restaurant. Back to the food...there were five shrimp, nicely seasoned. The chicken was breast meat, cooked a bit too long, but lots of it. We both ordered our steak rare, hoping for medium rare. We got between a medium rare and medium, but nice and tender. The fried rice was good and plentiful, but it wasn't very bacon-y. The spicy mayo sauce was good, you get one with your meal. We paid fifty cents each for the extras. We had enough food leftover for another meal. Food is served in take out containers, even when you're dining in. Self serve sodas. Very nice people working there.“
“We only had teppanyaki so I can't speak for the sushi. The duo meals are well stacked dinner for two for approximately $130. Includes steak, chicken, lobster tail, scallops, shrimp, veggies and their famous bacon fried rice which is quite delish! All with a fire show and good ambiance. You def need a reservation. The cooks are nice and try to make u feel special if it's a special occasion.“
“Japanese kitchen is always great the chefs are always super humble . The food is always great I have nothing bad to say about it. The restaurant is amazing I come back every year. If you go you have to get the spicy sauce and the teriyaki there both amazing. The restaurant is extremely underrated it’s definitely my favorite.“
