This place is WAY TOO GOOD!! Everytime i go through Concord or stop in Concord i have to stop here everytime! I’ve had probably half their menu by now, and i’ve not had 1 bad dish. Definitely a must stop place if you want authentic mexican food with atmosphere that feels like home away from home.

This is a hidden gem of Concord/Walnut Creek. I recommend the lamb if you want something you don't usually find. This place and the family that runs it hold a special place in my heart and I only wish I could go more often.

Update 11/26/2024 I dropped by on my way North and had a delicious lamb brunch, you seriously can't go wrong with it. Highly recommend the salsa habanero aka their spicier red salsa, it's really good if you can take the heat.
Update 5/25/2024 I don't get to come here as often, but I made the journey up to update my review and it's still amazing. I had to order two plates of barbacoa de borrego because I forgot to take pictures of the first, and it was so good I had to have more anyways. It's a tortilleria, so you can also get tortillas, bulk meats, beans and salsas, you can also get masa in bulk. If you want some great Mexican food in Walnut Creek, look no further, it's here.
Update 4/22/2023 I've been coming here regularly for the past few years and it's still the best place to get lamb. Their salsas are excellent as well and you can't go wrong with birria if you're in the mood for it.

There aren't enough stars to give this place. Family run and that's what you feel like when you go there. Buche, carnival, chicharones, chicken and ribs ( yes, ribs) are all outstanding. My neice comes back to CA from Austrailia and this is the place she wants to go. Even my buddy says it reminds him of how his grandparents cooked on their ranch in Jalisco. You absolutely will love this place. Do yourself a solid and get tortillas, they make them fresh every day.

We went to .Mercado del Sol they have 4.7 stars We got two chicken and beef enchilada dinners and tacos. The food was just ok. It didn't have a real Mexican flavor no red sauce on the enchiladas they were dry I think next time we will just go back to oakland.
