I LOVE soul food and growing up in the Bay Area I've ate at all the soul food places the Bay Area has to offer .. but after coming to Nola's I think concord now holds the title for the best soul food in the bay.
A small hole in the wall in a strip mall, this place had a great N'awlins vibe. And the food was fantastic! The red beans & rice was very good(could use a little more hamhock). The Seafood Gumbo was fantastic...but the catfish was the star...moist and tender inside, just the right amount of crisp outside. And don't get me started on the begniets!!! We'll be back!
