Awesome place. I don't have a hot pot near my home so I get super excited when I go to one. Many times it's a let down. This WAS NOT a letdown. Top notch food and service. I took six coworkers who had never been to hot pot and they were pleasantly surprised! Go try this place!

Food was good but service poor. Party of five, Our first time there, not sure how things worked, and the Waitress wasn’t very helpful. Appetizers arrived after main course arrived. Only checked back on us once at the end of our meal. Attractive and clean atmosphere.

This is a very nice hot pot location that popped on our search in Concord. Located in downtown among all the shopping centers around. Prime location and open until 12AM midnight. The broth and meat options are more than adequate! We got the Chicken spicy base with Chicken meat, long bean sprouts, corn, ramen noodles and fried tofu. All tasted good with more than happy hotpot experience. Staff were super humble and polite. Definitely a GOTO hotpot in Concord.

The food is great, This is more like Hot Pot. Not as described as similar to Din Tai Fung. Not even close. Some one needs to fix this comparison.

Here’s the deal—this place is NOT Chinese hot pot. It’s more like Shabu Shabu, which is good, if that’s what you’re looking for. I’ve tried dozens of places (mostly in China, but several great ones in Northern California) and all of them have had some variation on the Szechuan/Chongqing style spicy soup. You know the one, with peppercorns and chili peppers floating near the top, a numbing spicy flavor, bright red color. Most places will also have other choices like Thai-style soups, but they’re not the star. I’m my opinion the soup is what makes hot pot special and elevates all the food you cook in it.
Steamboat has no spicy soup. They have one that is named “spicy”, but it’s more like an herbal soup with some peppers thrown in. It definitely did not have the right taste.
They also purport to have bbq skewers (shaokao) but where most shaokao places have a spicy seasoning mix with red pepper, cumin, and like 10 other amazing spices, this one had cumin, black pepper and… sugar? I’ve never in my life had a sweet Chinese bbq skewer. They’re usually spicy street food that goes great with beer, but these were just baffling.
The service was good in our first (and final) visit, so I bumped it up to two stars, as I think you have to have a truly terrible experience to give one. This was not terrible, it was just bland and disappointing.
