We LOVE this darling restaurant and have been going for years. There seems to have been ownership turnover in the last few years, maybe twice? Still, count on a beautiful meal and take notes on what you love and you will be happy. The tiny, intimate environment in a charming historic home and "white glove" service is a time capsule so embrace its rarity, and the staff is so sincere and hopeful to make every visit a lovely dining experience. Sometimes it's the BEST and sometimes a little less, but we will always be true to Chez Loma! The pretty vintage bar and exceptional martinis are icing on the cake!

We went today for my daughter’s birthday and it was not a good experience. So disappointing! We dined inside and our service was just mediocre. The avocado toast was ridiculous - one tiny, thin piece of bread with a thin smear of what appeared to be packaged avocado for $15! We also got steak and eggs and our eggs came out scrambled, not over medium. The juice:blood from the steak ran into the the small pile fur scrambled eggs. Our server finally offered to refill our coffees, after we had finished our meals and then she didn’t follow through with it. She forgot. The bus person was great and was pretty attentive. We will not be going back.

We had Avocado Toast with poached egg, and loved the bread used! It was not heavy and toasted perfectly! A drizzle of chile oil provided just right amount of heat! All the staff we interacted with were friendly and helpful. Special shout out to Jennifer our waitress. She answered our questions and was attentive without being intrusive. We are making plans to come back for dinner!

We were the only two guests having brunch on Sunday morning. Food were so simple, limited, and nothing special. Orange juice and coffee were sadly served. The best is the server who had an upbeat and pleasant manner. She tried to provide us the best experience. Beware, the menu on the website isn't the same as what actually served.

Four of the six of us had beef bourguignon which we all felt the meat was tough and overcooked. The portions were not very big as well as the portion of fish...Service was very good.....We had a better meal the last time we were there.

Being from Paris, I’ve been searching for a good French restaurant, therefore I was very excited to try Chez Loma after seeing the reviews. While the waiters were very friendly and welcoming, the food was extremely disappointing and I paid 60$ for 2 appetizers and a glass of wine. I had to ask the waiter for some bread and butter which is customary in French restaurants and they came out with 4 tiny pieces and a hard piece of butter like I caught them off guard with such a simple demand. Then they proceeded to bring me two olives in a spoon which they called amuse bouche and were far from tasty. Finally the onion soup lacked flavor, the escargot lacked seasoning, the fries were delivious however. Overall the experience was disappointing and pricey.

I have been to Chez Loma twice recently and both times the service was very poor. The food was very good, unless they are out of it. Specifically wanted a dish I had had on my first visit - main reason for returning - and they were out of that dish by 7:00. It is cramped, with tables almost touching and you feel like your conversation can be heard throughout the room. It is very expensive for what you get - drinks and food are overpriced. We will not return, nor could I recommend it to anyone.

We had Sunday brunch at Chez Loma yesterday at 10am. It was lovely. It is a small menu, so check it out on line before you go. However, the items they have are delicious! Great service. Quiet and very enjoyable. Highly recommend.

I was really looking forward to this, but it definitely did not live up to the hype. The menu is spare at best and they were out of three of the items on the menu. My partner got the chicken cordon bleu and it was absolutely over cooked. I got the filet mignon and potatoes and the potatoes were almost inedible and the filet was just meh... Not a whole lot of options for wine either. I won't go back.

Dinner at Chez Loma on Valentine's Day was a disappointment. Overall, the food simply wasn't good. Fennel Salad was a chore to eat. Tuna tartare with fresh fruit was not tasty and lacked flavor. The halibut was not a good cut and didn't taste right. There were too many servers running around and not finding the correct tables...repeatedly. I know they all meant their best and wanted us to like it. They simply were overwhelmed...by the volume of people, I think. But the lack of good food, well-prepared was the biggest issue.

We always look forward to Chez Loma when we visit Coronado, but were so disappointed in our Valentine's Day dinner. The service was unbelievably slow and the food choices were poor. Not romantic- not pretty! The Beef Wellingtons were ice cold in the center. Awful salads. So sad.☹️

Cocktails were amazing but the food was bland. The atmosphere was poor due to poor music choice and how quiet the place was (note: we sat upstairs, downstairs looked better). The service staff were fantastic and very welcoming. This place needs to improve the quality of it's food particularly given how much they charge.

We have been here many times and decided to go for our Anniversary with 2 of our friends. The salads were both served as a heap of lettuce, the onion soup was watery, the quiche was mushy and lastly the cordon bleu was deep fried and way too cooked. Four person with 2 glasses of table wine and a tip = $225! Save your money and eat at a local liquor store and your food would be better and cost a LOT less.

We had a completely new menu end missed the dishes we use to order. We were happily surprised although the meat dish they use to have should be back on the menu along the filet mignon. I had the lamb with shiitake and a corn mash. The combination was unusual but the textures and flavors were well rounded and delicious if you enjoy a delicate but savory lamb dish. For dresser we ordered the bread pudding which sounded yummy but it could have been much better and/or at least warm. I don't think that as a long time customer I had ever raved about dessert at Chez Loma. That's an area where they need a little help. The ambiance and every person working there are always awesome. Although I love sitting in the main dining areas, because of my mom‘s disability, we sit at the bar. Yesterday it was a little bit loud since we had a couple of women that had their cell phones on watching some thing that they were laughing about plus the TV and other people talking. Nevertheless, when we got there, everybody was ready to help me with my mom and her wheelchair. I'm very grateful for that kindness. The service is wonderful and we are always happy to come back. I have been going to this restaurant since the time when they were over at OB. Long time Customer, and never regret it.

Went for brunch. Our group was disappointed because we were excited for the menu posted online. There is now a new chef w new menu with not as great options and no beignets. The food was really good but the portions were very small for the price. Coffee only, no espresso machine so no lattes or Americanos. A very mediocre experience for the location and price.
