Edit: my husband puked his pasta up in the restaurant bathroom 💀
I’ll preface this by saying that the server was very kind. Like another review said, the service was friendly but slow. It took a while to get our menus but honestly that wasn’t what bothered me. This review isn’t about the service but instead the abhorrent and awful excuse of a pasta that I had the total displeasure of putting into my mouth. This review sounds dramatic but c’mon you say you’re a pasta place so I think this review is deserved.
Me and my husband love pasta and trying new pasta places, and I’m pretty basic and enjoy a basic chicken alfredo, so I feel like that’s a bit hard to mess up.
Sadly, the chicken alfredo I got was literally the most disgusting thing I’ve ever eaten - it wasn’t just boring or bland or mediocre, the alfredo didn’t taste like alfredo sauce whatsoever - I don’t even know what to call it. The pasta itself was overcooked, mushy, and extremely bland. No amount of Parmesan cheese could save this or even mask the taste of this weird mystery sauce they call alfredo. The chicken, which was just a slab of uncut breast… was the only saving grace of this meal and it was mediocre at best. Not even the fly that’s flying around the piece of bread I have wants to be near this pasta.
Like I said in the beginning, the server was kind and tried his best to get the pasta off of our bill, but was able to only take off half after asking whoever made this abomination in the back. Whoever runs this place needs to reevaluate the way things are cooked here as well as the ingredients. I don’t understand how you could call yourself a pasta place and serve me the worst plate of pasta I have ever had - I’m serious.

Finally tried island pasta tonight after living here for years… this was the most disgusting pasta I’ve ever eaten. Under no circumstances should this place be allowed to remain open. I know it seems like I’m being dramatic but you can’t be a pasta business and sell horrible pasta. Do not order from here- especially the jumbo scallop pasta. Horrific experience 0/10.

This place offers mediocre food at best, nothing here is fresh, despite its claim in the sign outside. The pasta was prepackaged stuff and the portions were meager, we spent $70 bucks and left hungry. They couldn’t even bother with garlic toast, we got a slice of bread off a loaf you find in the supermarket. The second star is because the service was friendly, but eat somewhere else, there’s better pizza next door.
Friendly staff

Pretty terrible food here. The salad was not very well put together and the pizza was just awful. We felt bad so we ate about half and asked for a to go box then dropped it off in a trash can on the way back to the car.

The staff are absolutely wonderful and kind, but the food was very plain. The shrimp scampi was watery (not even buttery liquid… watery!) and both of our meals didn’t have much in the way of flavor. The chicken had a gelatinous layer on it and the bread was dry. We were very disappointed especially for the price.

Closes early and the staff sits around eating. Two nights in a row they say they are not open before 8 even though it says they are open until 9. The doors are wide open, the staff just hanging out chatting and eating. Really weird

BEWARE!! First time in Coronado, came here with my husband and friends. I ordered the fettuccine Alfredo and it was the most absolute disgusting thing I’ve ever tried in my life. We sent it back and the server went to go and tell the cook and manager that we had sent it back and all the employees were staring at us and gossiping the whole time while we tried to finish the rest of the food we ordered and made us feel very uncomfortable and unwelcome. As soon as we left the restaurant the pasta was so bad my friend puked right in front of the restaurant.

My two star rating is me being nice. I could get past the lack of AC since it’s a beach town in the summer. I can’t get over cold food being served. My friend and I were both served cold food and we were one of two tables being served at the time. Our waitress never came to check on us and was not even seen near our table for us to even grab her. If you are a restaurant on Coronado Island you should be doing better and offering better.
Unfortunately the service and food wasn’t great. The waitress carried the wine glass in her armpit and never checked in after serving the cold food. Also no AC so it was very warm.

Service was great, site staff was friendly and attentive. Positive vibes all around, Howevervthe food was bland. The chicken Marsala was under cooked and was bland. My Daighter ordered the chicken Alfredo and the sauce was bland as well and the chicken had way to much pepper.
