Good meal. But one member of our party is vegetarian and we saw more listings in an online menu that must have been old. The options were pretty limited.
The food was great. We had fish and chips. The portions were generous. The French martini was delicious. Service was great too!
We've eaten here several times and have always had great service. The food is also good and reasonably priced for a restaurant in Coronado. Had the sliders last night and they were excellent. Was also pleasantly surprised to see June shine on the menu.
We've been coming to the Tavern for about two years now, almost every week. This restaurant is like coming home to family. The service is over the top amazing, the food and drinks are consistently superlative and the ambience is so charming. Coming to the Tavern is a must do for anyone who appreciates amazing food, service, and drinks.
It's a fun spot; get a booth by the window (you'll be just below sidewalk level). Sort of old industrial setting with great personality. Their menu isn't huge, but it's a good offering of really well-made dishes. The linguini with clams is one of my favorites, as is the picanha. The tomato soup is pretty amazing and surprisingly rich. Among the better apps are the angus sliders and the wagyu tacos. A nice selection of beers and some good craft cocktails. This is a great spot for a casual meal and drinks where quality matters!
Really enjoyed our first visit here. Good, service and ambiance were all great. It was our last night in Coronado, or we'd be planning a return trip.
Fantastic experience here. Food was very tasty, drinks were great and service good. Atmosphere had a cool vibe as well. Highly recommend!
We have dined at this restaurant several times when visiting San Diego. We were recently there Su day night and it was awful. We ordered 3 kids' steaks medium and the came out medium rare-rare. We kindly told our waitress and she agreed, then brought their plates back to the kitchen to be cooked more. The manager proceeds to come out with their plates slams them on our table and tells us they are medium, they definitely were not. It was a struggle to say the least.
Fast forward two hours later, my husband and I have the most violent food poisoning we have ever encountered. Please beware of this restaurant.

Portions are very small and too expensive
Also you need to train your wait staff to remove plates only after EVERYONE at the table has finished! This is common practice in any establishment worth visiting

Great service! Was really looking forward to the 24oz Ribeye steak, but unfortunately they stopped serving it. Please bring this item back!! It was a favorite of ours for many years, as being locals from Ocean beach.
We settled for another protein item, and it was an average meal, our waitress was excellent and friendly though!!
