This review is overdue. We got married at Auberge in Rutherford in the autumn some years ago. Jill made us a BEAUTIFUL 3 tier cake with the grapes on the vine and fall leaves colors design.Besides design, our cake was delicious. We had two flavors: a berry filling with vanilla cream and a lighter lemon filling with hazelnut cream. Those who didn't eat sweets had 2 slices and then some. From meeting Jill to talking about design to day off delivery, everything went off smoothly. Highly recommend Branching Out for all cake occasions, not just for weddings.

My comment is very late, but it's better late than never. We got married on August 2012. I remember Jill being a good listener and patience on how we wanted our cake and design to be done. We tried one baker prior to Jill, and the baker thought we had too much going on as our design for our cake. So when we found Jill who was willing to listen on how we wanted our cake, we knew we found our baker who can make our wedding cake. I couldn't have asked for a better experience with Jill and Emma for my wedding cake. They were both just so easy to work with and made me feel like every choice I made was really paid attention to and important to them. The Red Velvet was our choice and we're definitely excited to dig the out the cake topper in our freezer and relive all the magical flavors once we hit our 1 year anniversary!

Our wedding occurred in June 2014, which makes my review rather late However, I owed Jill for the beautiful, elegant and unbelievably delicious cake. Jill surpassed our expectations regarding our wedding cake, and my husband was over the moon with the cake. To this day, we receive compliments on the wedding cake. Thank you Jill!

We don't have our professional pictures back yet so this mobile photo will have to do for the review! Still, as you can see, the cake was GORGEOUS! The best part? It tasted even better than it looked (which says a lot). Jill was amazing from the start. She's quick with communicating, provided a very laid back tasting with multiple samples (best part of the wedding planning!), and made everything so easy! Our guests raved about the cakes all night (we got 3 different flavors) - it truly was a highlight of the wedding. One of our favorite parts about Jill - is that she offers a free top tier on an anniversary of your choice -- how awesome is that?! Branching Out Cakes is also affordable for us brides who can't spend 2-grand on a wedding cake! That being said - you would think it cost a million bucks ;) We couldn't be happier with our decision to book Jill as our baker. We got married last month and we are already counting down to our one year anniversary so we can dig into that top tier!!

We hired Branching Out for our wedding cake last weekend. Jill and her team did an absolutely AMAZING job!! Not only was it beautiful, it also tasted delicious!! From flavor to texture to decoration, everything was complete perfection. Our guests raved about the flavors! We had tiramisu, lemon curd and mascarpone, and raspberry and lemon mascarpone. I couldn't believe that they took the time to make their own mascarpone, but I could really taste the difference! I could definitely see and taste the extreme care and attention to detail paid to their work. Beyond the cake, Jill and Emma were great to work with and were super attentive to bringing our vision to life. I cant recommend them highly enough!!

The anniversary cake was complimentary (or you can consider it party of the wedding cake order), about the size of a top tier and large enough to easily provide dessert for 6-8 people. What a generous and thoughtful way of doing business. Her work is amazingly beautiful and her professional performance of setting up, taking extra care that everything is perfect is nonpareil . My daughter was married last month and of course there was no other choice. We had a two tiered cake with two flavors and there wasn't a crumb left over. Everyone is still raving about her cakes. There was one minor miscommunication about color between us but the cake was nonetheless beautiful and delicious and Jill handled this very well. High recommendations for this wedding cake bakery!

Jill did an amazing job on our cake!! We got so many compliments on the flavor (my husband likes vanilla and I'm more of a chocolate fan, so we ended up having one tier of each), and the design was just *beautiful*. We had brought in a photo for inspiration, and Jill recreated the parts we liked and made it really ours by adding in fresh flowers from our florist. The size ended up being exactly perfect, with one slice left over that we enjoyed the next day. I'm so pleased with how everything turned out, and would highly recommend her in the future.

Jill and her crew were great! The cake tasting made us fall in love with Jill's cake. They were all delicious and it was super fun. We chose a white cake with raspberry filling. It was so tasty! Not only did the cake taste phenomenal but it was gorgeous too! I sent her a picture of a cake I saw online and she made it better than the picture. It was amazing. We had a two tier cake for the display, and the rest was sheet cake that was cut in the back, to make it easy to serve to guests. It was great to be able to offer so many different flavors to our guests. Even better- rather than saving the top tier of our cake (I have no freezer space for that), Jill is making us a 1 year anniversary cake- YUM! Thank you again Jill!
