The end of an era. Marin Joes last day open. It is now closed and sold to another restauranteur or restaurant group who plan to make changes to the building. If they're smart no matter what their concept is they will keep the beautiful rock-lined bar/lounge, which gives the character. If they wreck that, there's not going to be much reason to pull off the highway and wind around the side road to reach the place.
Marin Joe's just feels good. The staff is very professional, the patrons are all in a good mood, and the food generally over-delivers. I often wish I'd just gone to Marin Joe's after trying a new over-thought, over-wrought, under-delivered, and over-priced new restaurant somewhere else in the Bay.
If you are craving prime rib, this is your place! I happened to be on crutches and when we arrived I was treated like royalty! The valet parked our car right in front of the restaurant. We were quickly seated in a corner booth where I was able to elevate my leg. They were so wonderful I felt like I was coming home to family! Super fun atmosphere with great energy!
